We stayed here for two nights as part of a walking tour of Japan's backroads. We saw Mt Fuji when we arrived last afternoon, and saw it briefly at 6am from the hotel's top floor fire escape!
The hotel room was basic, clean but very small. It also smelled of smoke and we needed air deodorant and opened the window to freshen it up. The restaurant food was good and filling.
There was a mountain river at the back of the hotel which was nicely lit up at night, and they had just finished building a very nice on-sen with segregated communal (naked) hot bathing which was very welcome at the end of a long day walking around one of the lakes in the area.

My husband and I stayed here 2 nights as part of a small tour group. We ate 2 breakfasts and 2 dinners at the hotel. The food was adequate. The hotel and cafe staff were friendly, helpful, and efficient. Room 406 was quite comfortable and with the window open the sound of the stream is restful. There is a new and beautiful bath house for hotel guests to use in addition to the normal in room bathroom.

Nice basic hotel adjacent to forests though at some distance from Lake Kawaguchiko but within walking distance of the major Sengen Shrine. We stayed here before heading back to Tokyo for our last days in japan. Hotel staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the food in the hotel is good.
