The suite we booked is called I love Paris and it was very comfortable and extremely clean. It was well equipped with everything we needed. The complimentary coffee Sumatra was amazing, I would love to find out the brand. Hot tub was very pleasant and clean. The patio felt like we are in the middle of the forest and we enjoyed our morning coffee there. We even got a very cute visitor- very friendly black and white cat. We would definitely stay here again if we come back to Wakefield.

Claude and Lucie are wonderful hosts. They always make sure that the Belle De Nuit Wakefield Inn is ready to welcome us when you arrive at the front door. We love that the property backs onto the Gatineau Park and this time we were greeted by a family of deer. The Belle De Nuit located in the lovely village of Wakefield has become one of our favourite places for a weekend getaway.

Great rooms each with a private backyard, BBQ, spa and fire pit. Each room and the inn itself is kept very clean, is very well decorated and have a small furnished kitchen and fridge. It is within 2 minutes walking distance to the general store and 5-6 minutes from the core area with all the restaurants and bars. There is a nice music show on Monday nights in town, near the covered bridge, also within walking distance of about 20 mins. Easy access by car to philippe lake, lac la pêche and Morrison Quarry for daytime beach trips. The best place to stay near Gatineau Park.

We stayed for 2 nights. We drove up on Canada day and we were later than anticipated, but the host called to make sure we were safe. The hot tub was great, the room was beautiful and well appointed. We hope to return to the town and would love to stay here again.

What a wonderfully private room with all the amenities of home. Check'in and check-out was so easy and quick. Lucie and Claude were wonderful hosts. Walking distance from shops and restaursnts. We will definitely be back!!

I reached out to Claude as I was looking for a quite space to take an intensive course away from distractions. He was enormously helpful in helping me arrange a space where I could work privately. I had the Paris room - windows on two sides, bright, spacious, with a lovely patio where I could work in good weather, and hot tub to myself. The suite was well equipped with plenty of coffee to get me through 2 focused days! I was able to work with everything at my fingertips, and walk around the town during breaks. The room and grounds were spotless, comfortable and quiet. The overall home is lovely and with an upstairs large open space would be great for a small team retreat. I will definitely be back. We stayed in the New York suite and all was true to the description and photos. We loved the unit as it was very clean, private, well equipped, and so enjoyed the private hot tub and outdoor fireplace—all surrounded by nature. The bed and pillows are super comfortable and we so enjoyed the welcome treats of delicious jam, pâté, chocolates and fresh ground coffee. The owner introduced himself and wanted to be sure we had everything we needed. Their attention to detail is noted! We were able to walk to restaurants and shops in the quaint village and enjoyed a few hours of canoeing through a local company which topped off the weekend for us. Everyone is friendly and the scenic river walk is so relaxing and beautiful. Glad we added on the late check out, and the extra dollars were worth it so we could enjoy a sleep-in on a rainy Sunday morning before heading out. Happy to recommend this little gem! We shall be back in September.…

We spent 4 nights at the beautiful Belle De Nuit Inn with our good friends for a few days of rest relaxation and good company. The Inn did not disappoint in any way, beautiful rooms, great hot tub, location was perfect, walking distance to most everything you need and more. Claude and Lucie were great hosts and made our stay most memorable, with lots of great suggestions for the area. We hope to return in the near future, definitely a gem of a place.

My gal and I spent a wonderful three nights here, as a getaway to just escape and have quality time together. This Inn was perfect, very comfortable, quiet, personal hot tub to relax in, easy walking to the town’s charm. We arrived right in the middle of a big snow storm, which then created a winter wonderland for ambiance, as we hiked through the snow in the nearby trails, and sat in the hot tub as bits of snow gently fell off the nearby trees. Claude and Lucy are perfect hosts, nearby, but at the same time, you still feel your space is all yours. We’ll be back..
