We stopped in Saxmundham looking for somewhere to have a late breakfast and stumbled across this lovely place, they were very accommodating, the service was great and the food was amazing - we would love to return to this very pleasant little town and stay in this hotel and have dinner next time. Full marks to the Bell !!

A very laid back place to stay, rooms basic but clean and have everything you need for a short stay. Bed was comfy. We stayed in room 10 at the top, which was cosy and quiet as nobody had to come walking past our room. Ate in the restaurant, the food is good pub food. Tasty, staff are friendly. Breakfasts...

We had a wonderful meal at The Bell while staying with family in Saxmundham. The food was fresh and delicious, the service was great, and we had a lot of laughs after dinner in the small bar there. Thank you for the lovely evening!

We stayed at The Bell for a long weekend over Easter. It was perfectly fine as a base to explore the nearby coast and towns like Southwold and Aldeburgh, although Saxmundham itself is rather dead. The Bell appears to be the only pub left open in the village. The pub has been given a bit of a makeover to bring...

First visit to the Bell, had heard good things but found it just very average. Waitress seemed rushed off her feet, food was nothing special, prices were reasonable, decor was tasteful. Overall it was just 'ok'.

Thank you for your review and sorry we were just OK, which is clearly not what either you are I would want. We continue to strive to give our customers better service, food, value for money, atmosphere and environment. We will keep working at it.

We stopped off here for lunch. We had a prawn cocktail each to start. The prawn cocktail was ok it had a slight twist on a traditional cocktail the prawns were lovely but it was served with half a baby gem lettuce on the plate and I'm not a fan of that just cut it up! For mains we had...

We were holidaying in the area and called into the Bell for morning coffee,We liked the look and feel of the place and so booked a table for dinner, that same night and were we glad we did? Our meals were superb, cooked and presented to perfection. The staff were all, without exception, friendly and efficient, especially the young barman...

My friend and I stopped for an evening treat after a day shopping in Ipswich (so we could both enjoy a glass of vino too!) Both decided on the 2 Courses for £10, starter & main. Couldn't fault it. Food was delicious, portion sizes not scrimped on (as some places do when getting 'a deal') and very attentive with the...

The restaurant here is really good value for money. The three of us had a three course meal which was interesting, tasty and very well presented. The pulled pork spring roll was really excellent as a starter as was the French onion soup. The main courses from the moules, battered haddock and steak burger were really excellent. We finished with...
