We got stuck in Sorong overnight due to our outbound flight being cancelled. Fortunately the airline put us (and other stranded passengers) up in the JE Meridien (no relation to Le Meridien, I'm told). I didn't realize until afterwards that the room we were in was the JEM Suite, one of the best rooms you can get. Based on my...

The location is just across the street from the airport, very convenient.... this is the one-stop to get the national park permit ...they have nice big sofa to rest on - it's great if your flight arrive at 6-7am & need to wait for the national park office to open (around 9am).. i stayed in a deluxe room for 1...

(+) It is located near by Edward Osok Airport with walking distance. The room is spacious. (-) dust and sand is everywhere, the service is very very slow, the staff can not maintain proper Indonesia with no English at all. Price is not worth it. No special view as well. Not recommended.

Stayed for a nite as I had an early morning flight. Large and clean room with comfortable bed. Split AC, but compressor sound does get in. The toilet had a musty odor that is avoidable. Very helpful staff. Not only gave me directions to a place I had to visit, also flagged down a share taxi for me. Provided a...

Stayed here for 1 night after Raja Ampat trip. We made the reservation by calling them beforehand, & they kept the record in a thick reservation book :-) Found their room on the ground floor (I forgot, maybe the standard room? It was the cheapest) to be very comfortable despite nearly window-less. The furniture set looked fresh & new. Plenty...

JE Meridien Hotel is expensive but definitely your best bet for a decent hotel in Sorong. Most people use it as a pit stop before catching a flight the next morning. The hotel is conveniently located across the street from the airport. The staff is friendly and will happily arrange transportation to and from the airport for free. Transportation into...

Close to the airport, hotel managers are accustomed to the varied demands of travelers of all kinds; they are attentive and responsive. The office of Raja Ampat park located inside the hotel can help you plan your trip. The room we had, on the ground floor, was large, clean and quiet, bedding in very good condition; the shower room was...

The best thing is the location it is right next to the hotel. nothing much to do around. the lobby has a transient feel to it. i was honestly on guard while there and just counting the hours waiting to leave . for one night on way out i...

The most interesting things about this hotel are the airport's vicinity and the informations you'll find there : inside the hotel stands a Raja Ampat information office (where you can buy the pass) and a Garuda office which is very convenient. The staff is friendly but the rooms are quite old as well as the dining room. The breakfast is...

Opposite airport: cross the street walking so you can leave Sorong easily :) The town is not nice. The hotel is a bit worn out but remains an option. It has cable TV. Generally, people stay there for a night before leaving. The neighborhood is ugly.
