These guys are in business for all the right reasons. They want to help stave off the mass clearing of jungle for palm oil plantations and help save the habitat of the orangutans. The guides are very knowledgeable, very savvy about other cultures, care about the forest and are genuinely integral to the business. The resort is sympathetic to the...

Stopped in here for a drink and some lunch. The food was tasty and the beer ice cold. Wry happy with the service and the food. Would and did return. The views over the river were beautiful. It's a good spot to sit and watch the world go by.

We stayed in the rooms at the river. Very nice view. Restaurant is really good. Staff is very very helpful and nice (especially Iman). They arrange different activities as Jungle trekking which was wonderful, river tubing , and elephant bathing (the road to the elephant area was really exhausting). In general bukittlawang is wonderful and Junia made it better.

I stayed at this guesthouse for 2 nights, 1 before and 1 after my two-day jungle trek. I messaged them prior to arrival to ask for directions from the bus station and instead they sent someone to collect me, for free, which I was grateful for. I was offered a welcome drink on arrival and booked my jungle trek through...

We stayed at Junia last week. The property is beautifully done up but the rooms are quite basic and that should be expected (& clarified if needed) by anyone planning to stay there. The staff goes beyond to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable - starting with a following up on your arrival time and means so as to have...

Junia guesthouse has a very nice cosy atmosphere. It's set around a beautiful garden. The rooms and bungalows are clean and artfully decorated and the beds are comfortable. On each terrace is a hammock. The food in the restaurant is delicious. I did a jungle trek for two days and it was great. The people are amazing. I felt very...
