We stayed for one night - we'd booked for two but wanted to get back to Stockholm for more time there so leaving early wasn't any comment on the hotel and indeed they were able to sell the room on so we were not even charged for it, despite not leaving until about 1800 hrs - pretty good of them...

We stayed here for one night as part of my mothers 60th birthday celebrations, the rooms were not ready when we arrived from the ferry from Stockholm, but we could leave our luggage at a designated room. When we arrived later that day, the rooms were ready and we could check in. Two of the guys in our party had...

We stopped in when our yacht had to pick some water on our journey through the Swedish Archipeligo, and discovered this lovely hotel with this lovely pub with Frida at the cappucino machine. So very delightful, incredibly personable, a great cappucino, and we are quite picky about our recommendations. This is a world class experience, and fast free internet too....

After a hectic time in Stockholm it was really relaxing to visit this island. It is not such a large island but large enough to be interesting. The hotel is ideally situated by the port so everything is nearby, good food and atmosphere.

Stayed here for a long weekend. Although the place as such has a huge potential, the staff working here have no clue what they are doing. Nothing really works very well. The rooms are tidy and in all honesty there is nothing to complain about here. As soon as you approach any of the staff (even in their native swedish...

We stayed one night at the Sandhamn hotel, just about the only place in town. The room, #201, was quite small, but our price of aprox $350 included dinner for two and breakfast. The room was clean and the bathroom great, but if it had been just 2 feet wider it would be better. With someone at the desk on...

Seglarhotellet ("The Yachting Hotel") is an historic wood building, inaugurated in 1897 as the club house for the Royal Swedish Yachting Club (one of the 2 oldest yachting club in the world). The island has been a fashionable vacation spot for over 100 years, famous for its regattas and sand beaches (rare in the Stockholm archipelago). Today the island is...

Seglarhotellet in Sandhamn is a nice spot for a day or a week-end, since it's around one hour boat trip from Stockholm. Sandhamn is a lovely island with sandy beaches , woods and traditional swedish houses. There are some quite nice restaurants. The hotel is a bit old, but still nice. The rooms are not quite big, but cozy. The...

Sandhamn is located furthest out in the Stockholm archipelago with the sea horizon in the east. The small town/village has nice old buildings and nice walks. We arrived with our own boat and the harbour was quite busy with large and small boats and yachts and even a seaplane etc. It was a bit difficult to find a place to...

We have visited Seglarhotellet a number of times. The rooms are adequate but should not be the focus of your trips. Stunning panoramas, walks along the beautiful docks (for pleasure craft), app 30 min walk to the beach (bicycle is nice) and, more than anything, crazy parties at night (think Ibiza style). On most nights, but particularly during weekends, at...
