The staff delighted us beyond expectations and the views are stunning. Property is very well maintained, Food is ultimate, VEry hygenic and like home food. All facilities available in room except TV and WI -FI and i bet you will not need these when you are here. Nice trek trails from the estate, safe to walk and see wild animals like deers and Pine Marten. Thanks to Ganshyam PAdey jee, the Manager of the Hotel who took care us from welcome to Bye bye. If you want to spend a vacation far from the madding crowd, this is the best place in Uttarakhand. So calm and quiet, that you can listen to a dry leaf falling on the ground.

The room was good and comfortable with nice view. The location of the property is very good, surrounded by the Cedar wood plants. Its a very old property once belonged to Nehru family. The food is very delicious and homely. Mr.Ghanshyam Pandey and Bahadur ji take special care to make your stay comfortable. Highly recommend to everyone.

Its an British era structure, an historic place to stay, located in the midst of Binsar wildlife sanctuary. The location IS BREATHTAKING with an awesome view of Nanda devi mountain ranges. Feel like almost staying inside the jungle. Hospitality is best and staff is courteous and customer oriented

We visited Binsar during the Holi weekend in March 2021. We were greeted with rich flush of rhododendron flowers to mark the spring season. The resort is in a very serene and secluded place right in the middle of the forest. The old colonial architecture gives a feel of a bygone era. The services were one of the best ones we have encountered. Delicious, sumptuous breakfast and dinner were served with warm hospitality. The resort also arranged a tour guide for us to take us through nearby trails and villages.

Binsar is heaven for those looking for mountains, wildlife and forests. Khali estate is perched on a hilltop offering magnificent views of the Himalayas and the forests all around. The resort is clean, green and serene. The rooms are well appointed and have an amazing view of the Himalayan range. There is plenty of space to walk around and explore in and just outside the property. The food is sourced fresh and is extremely delicious just like home-cooked meals and is served with a lot of affection. Soups, parathas, kachoris, beans- we loved everything that Maharaj ji made. The entire team is very generous and their hospitality is unparalleled. The day after we arrived, we found ourselves being woken up by Ghanshyam ji informing us that the Himalayas were visible and that he was worried we may miss the opportunity. It is this thoughtfulness and attention to detail that sets the resort apart from others. Thanks to him we were able to get a great view of the Himalayas from our window itself. We loved the place and the people and hope to return soon. This time we hope to also see a leopard!

This is a place I love going back to. It is large, secluded, has amazing views, and extremely nice staff. The property is of historical significance, as Gandhiji used to spend time here before independence. The newer cottages added are not super luxurious, but functional. And that's the charm of the place, it's rustic, and real.

The Khali Estate is located within the Binsar Wild Life Sanctuary. The Binsar Wild Life Sanctuary is widely known for its flora and fauna and different species of birds and animals. As we drove through the dense vegetation of the Sanctuary towards Khali Estate, the only sound that could be heard was that of chirping of birds.Khali took our breath away at first sight itself. It was a quaint and picturesque property amidst the remote wilderness and had amazingly beautiful cottages housed within. The cottage was furnished well and the windows provided an excellent view of the Himalayas . We were lucky to be the only guests at Khali. We were given a tour of the estate and also got to know that Khali had a rich history and had in the past hosted many luminaries including Mahatma Gandhi and the Nehru family. Food served for breakfast and dinner was excellent. It was prepared and served with so much love. The staff at Khali estate is wonderful. We felt we were at home and really enjoyed the fireplace which they especially set up for us every evening. The nature walks we took here were beautiful. Except for the rustling of dry leaves being trampled under our feet and chirping of birds, no other sound could be heard. We walked through the winding forest path bordered on both sides by pine and oak trees. We saw so many wood peckers pecking too 😀 Khali is beautiful and we sincerely hoping to go back there once again for a longer stay. A big thank you to the most amazing staff at Khali for making our stay so comfortable and amazing.

We stayed here from Dec 31 to Jan 2. The place was too cold in the evenings. The view of snow-covered mountains was excellent. There was hadly any wildlife, may be due to the weather. Electric supply was erratic. Getting hot water for a bath was difficult. The food was home-like.

The resort is inside the Binsar wildlife sanctuary which makes it a perfect place for bird watchers and peace lovers. There is no Television in the rooms, you will find little to no connectivity on your mobile networks and the Wifi is limited to the reception area - which is great for people who really want to disconnect from the world. I completed reading a book that was pending for some time, slept on the hammock under the sun and played badminton (they have a court in the campus and also provide the rackets and shuttlecock) The staff is friendly, humble and very caring. They serve simple yet delicious food (Non Veg is not permitted within the Wildlife sanctuary) It is a pet-friendly resort which is one of the main reasons I booked this place as I did not want to leave my little dog behind. The staff gave fresh milk for her at no extra cost - who doesnt love such gestures?

Wonderful resort. Great views of nature. Excellent common room with fire place. Inspite of only 2 of us in the resort, we were treated with excellent food. Staff treated us very well. A bit expensive but still recommend a stay.
