The location, the rooms, meals, in short the whole property is fabulous. This place has carved it's mark in our hearts in the whole Uttarakhand tour. The hospitality of the crew was superb. We felt very privileged and looked after.
Stayed for one night in June’22. The hotel is situated away from the hustle bustle of the city and constructed on the lap of hills. One can drive up to the hotel parking, entry to the property / reception to be made through stairs. The hotel rooms are situated at different levels and to be accessed through stairs. The room was expansive and neatly done, had a balconies overlooking peaks, though not visible during our visit; washroom was well maintained too. The room was fitted with comfortable bed, TV, tea maker etc. We had buffet breakfast and dinner at their inhouse restaurant. The buffet breakfast had limited options, dinner was served on ala-carte basis. The foods were reasonably tasty. The staffs were courteous and responsive. Kasaar Devi temple can be visited though an uphill road from the hotel. Overall it was a comfortable stay. …
I (with family) stayed at Kasar Jungle resort in October 2022 for 3 days and enjoyed every bit of it. Such a nice property, good location, tasty food, beautiful views from balcony and very hospitable staff. Special thanks to Vaibhav for making our stay very comfortable, it is always really nice talking to you.
Amazing experience staying in Kasar jungle resort. It is amidst the forest that gives you that tranquil and serene experience. . The greenery is well maintained. You can hear chirping of birds in the morning. Staff is very humble and polite. Food is fresh , warm and delicious. Best thing about the resort was its closeness to Kasar Devi temple . It is connected to the temple from behind , just a 2 min walk. You can go and meditate early in the morning. Rooms are at different height, so people who have joint problem may face some issues. Resort is very far from main city. But there are nice cafe around.
It was our last minute decision to visit this place n that to with our little dog. The place was so peaceful n rejuvenating, that after 4 days of stay we didn’t want to leave. The staff Lokesh, Sanjay, Puran n Jitender we’re very helpful in making our stay rememberable. My daughters just loved this place.
In May 2022 (5 to 12 May), our family visited Kasaar Devi Hill for third time and stayed at Kasaar Jungle resort for the third time. The top of the hill has the small serene old temple of Lord Shiva and has a flight of steps leading down to the small serene temple of Kasaar Devi. Due to their remoteness and accessibility these temples are far from being crowded noisy places of worship. Instead they offer clean, natural surroundings and courtyards looking down to large valleys, where one can sit to meditate, pray, read, reflect or do online work. The hill top has beautiful views of the surrounding valleys and hills. The resort is a very short distance downhill from the top ... this downhill distance about 3 floors of a building for an estimate. The resort consists of multiple buildings (2 storeyed) on the slope of the hill and connected through stone staircases. The hill side is covered with typical Himalayan trees which have many tweeting birds and occasional group of monkeys. Flowers and small bushes dotted with butterflies and bees cover much of rest of slope around the buildings. The rooms are comfortably and tastefully designed to suit the local climate; with wood lined walls and floor; large glass windows for sunlight and for catching hillside views. The main building with reception also houses the well lit dining hall opening to a large open terrace (for arranging open air tea/party). It also has to one side, a play area for small children with swing and seats and a recreation room (seemingly not used much) with table-tennis, carrom and an audio music system. The food menu covers most of popular as well as local ethnic Kumauni cuisine. If you give enough advance notice or if you are there at a time when resort is not crowded, the chef-and-staff can even prepare menu-to-your-taste provided the ingredients are available. The quality of preparation varies from very good to excellent and for amazingly reasonable price (considering the location) and the supporting staff are courteous and prompt. They are very hard working and energetic, climbing through the rocky stairs to provide room service if you cannot come to the dining room. The free wifi provided does not have strength, but the compensating relief is that all the major telecom/data providers cover the area and surroundings fairly well. So one can manage internet-based work well with a reasonable data-plan. The 2-plus years of lockdown may have caused losses and upheavals to tourism and hospitability industry of the area, of Uttarakhand and of world at large; but thanks to the owner, the managers, staff; this nature resort has kept alive the area with its continued provision of calm surroundings, green outdoors and great food. The reception staff will also arrange taxi (you pay the taxi cost) for day trips to surrounding areas, Almora town and the beautiful Binsar Forest reserve or for pick-up/drop to travel connection points. Since we planned the 7 day trip for leisurely stay, we loved the early morning short climb to hill top, the quiet yet nature fresh meditative mornings in the temple courtyard then climb down on the other side of the hill to a small village tea shop for hot cup of ginger tea; then climb back from other side to the hotel for leisurely breakfast or lunch. Thanks and congratulations to the warm, friendly and courteous staff at the resort for making the trip a memorable experience of relaxation.…
It’s not at all value for money. The behavior of owner of the resort is very un professional and not at all friendly. It’s not at all worth the cost it has for rooms. Would suggest to look for other option like Binsar Eco Resort with awesome food and friendly staff.
We stayed here for one Night only on 25 April 2022. I regret that I stayed here only for one night. The resort has jungle huts with outstanding facilities. The Kasar Devi Temple is located only 400 metres away from the Resort and there is a track from within the resort itself. The staff is very hospitable and cooperative. The hut has excellent amenities. One must plan a stay of at least two nights.
Our Visit was from 21st to 24th March 2022. Our stay couldn't have been better. The food, the Service, Ambiance, Facilities were all very satisfying. The staff regularly kept on asking for feedbacks/suggestions throughout our stay. Highly recommended for all type of travelers. Be ware of Monkeys. The location is little difficult to find.. on the way forward from Dolma Cafe.
