It is the most amazing experience we ever had. This place is extremely beautiful, quite and located in kumaon himalayas. The property, food and hospitality were just astonishing. The himalayas view from the window is simply awesome. The food has variety and each and everything was finger licking. Property manager Amit took very good care and attended to every request. What differentiate Itmenaan from others is the genuine care and attention of each staff member, their hospitality was beyond words. Totally, calm and quite with best experience away from the daily hustle of life.

If you want to relax and rejuvenate in nature's lap, this is the place.

We booked this place to take a break from the city madness during Covid lockdown.
This place delivered at all our expectations, The property is set in the middle of nowhere near Jageshwar Temple, a 10hour drive from Delhi.
A 15mins moderate trek downhill from the main road takes you to well made, stone n granite style cottages. The thing that sets this place apart from similar properties is the excellent service by their local staff. A special mention to Govind Ji, Chacha, Maali bhaiya and Ms. Bhawna, they really know how to take care of the guests.
Food was also above our expectations, really appreciate the efforts of chef to personalise our meals according to our mood for the day.
Our only regret is that we stayed for just 4 days and the mega spiders in our rooms.
Would like to visit again.

This place was an amazingly beautiful and comfortable stay. The food was excellent and curated to our taste. The stone cottages have a lovely view of the Himalayan peaks of Uttarakhand. The staff are genuinely helpful - they guided and accompanied us on treks and also helped our 4 year old son climb up the mountains. When my son was tired , the guide Shivraj effortlessly carried him up the mountains! Come here if you are looking for great views, amazing hospitality and delicious food!

Our stay at Itmenaan Estate was off two nights. A hike down to the property lasting about 25 minutes downhill was followed by a warm welcome from the great staff at the property.
A secluded place which was filled with amazing views and fortunately great weather. We stayed in two separate cottages while one cottage was slightly off putting due to insects, the other one was extremely comfortable.
What made our stay memorable was the staff. From the manager to our guide for the treks every person was kind, humble and helpful. It made our experience worth it. Special mention to the guide who was the most amazing person.
Overall a good experience, fouled by insects, however I certainly recommend a visit to this property.

It’s rare that one can say, “they really got that right”! Tucked into the hillside a score of miles away from Jageshwar, you drive 3 klicks through a rough unmade road and then climb down from the car park to the Estate. Roses of all hues in clusters welcome you. The chefs are excellent and the service superlative, goaded on by Amit K the GM. A sharp shower and the Nanda Devi showed herself, almost to reward you. With every last detail looked after and the delightful interiors done by the promoter's wife, it was really special. Thanks!

What caught my eye most was the uninterrupted & astonishing valley view from our cottage Deodar. It's breathtakingly beautiful in many ways. To be able to see the infinite range, with the various gaon on top, which lit up by night is just picturesque! The night sky brings with it the 'little bear' and other constellations making each night special. The food was finger lickling local cuisine. The meats fresh (on request) and staff/service benevolent. Property interim manager Bhavna took very good care and attended to our every request warmly. Faithful canine friend Chintu kept my 4 year old company throughout. Only thing that was inconvenient was the walk to the property due to construction reasons which should be solved in some months it seem. So we stayed put at the property and enjoyed short treks instead. Goes without saying we ll definitely return, once the car route gets made ofcourse!

PS: since the property is middle of nature be prepared for lots of bugs/ large insects

Dear Arjun_w86, Thank you so much for your insightful review. We are truly humbled by your gracious comments on the property, the service and our teams at Itmenaan Estate. It is our constant endeavour to provide an alternate hospitality and adventure experience to our guests. As you know, Itmenaaan is also an acronym that stands for Relaxation'. All our resort attempts to move away from the regular vacation experience and it is indeed heartwarming to learn that this unique concept is being noticed and applauded by discerning guests. Thank you very much for your suggestions, we have well noted these points and will surely work on them. We hope to welcome you back to Itmenaan Estate and our other properties in the future and in the meantime, do keep in touch via our social media sites on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram to stay updated with all our latest news. True to it's name -Itmenaan , the estate offers tranquility serenity & unparalleled esthetic charm.
We had traveled to Itmenaan in Jun 2024 for a short 03 day break & accompanying us was our fur baby -Simba.
The team not only took great care to make our stay comfortable but also ensured that Simba has an unforgettable paw-cation.
The team at Itmenaan is dedicated to living up & upholding the richness/values of the kumaoni culture.
Special mention to Uday Singh Ji who would ensure that you get the maximum from the guided trail & village walks & to Bhawna for her hospitality & happy go lucky attitude.
I would recommend this place to all .

about a 20 min hike from the road. The walk is ok, just the uneven stones make it a bit difficult, you might have to keep your eyes on the track so you dont twist an ankle ( then youll have a problem ). Ask for a room in the building closest to the dining area so you dont have to walk down a path for meals. Pretty place...give it a shot.

Hi.Group of 12 is large for this small resort. Except for the suite, the other rooms are rather small. You have to be physically fit to reach the resort.Besides there is only a small village nearby. So if you want to eat gluten free food, it would be best to call and ask the resort their culinary skills.
