We spent 3 days in Itmenaan estate and got to experience one of the best hospitality that there is. The location is stunning, the rooms luxurious and the staff make you feel at home. We can't wait to get back there again.
I stayed with my family (wife & 2 teenager kids) for a couple of nights. Must complement Mr Amit and team for making our stay memorable. Ms Bhavna made it very convenient for us to navigate to the place and took good care of us in & around. The view from the room overseeing Himalayas was just fantastic! The chef & his team made some really delicious food for us across different cuisines during our stay. The bonfire experience made the evening really wonderful. Given that it was quite cold, hot water / bags availability was never an issue. An additional delight for our kids were puppies Jerry & Cherry with whom our kids had a great time. Overall, a wonderful experience and strongly recommended.
Situated in a remote location, with mesmerising views of the Nanda Devi and Trishul ranges, this property and their top notch hospitality will make you feel like royalty. Their hospitality surpasses any five star property by miles and this is no exaggeration. We stayed for four nights and never was I ever greeted by anything but a genuine smile. We had the most amazing time ever. We stayed at the Pine cottage. The room and the washroom are thoughtfully made, the heater and other amenities are top notch. We spend the evening staring at the skies with lots of stars and shooting stars by the bonfire on the sit out area. The food too was consistently good, the grilled chicken, the mutton, the local dishes were sumptuous. I can go on and on about how wonderful this place is and also their property at Thikalna where we stayed for a night. My heartfelt thank you to Amit, their manager, Govindji and all their staff for taking care of us and also our dogs. This is a must visit place and we will definitely visit again. …
Lovely location , great service and food. This place is beautiful - perfect for a rejuvenating getaway , fresh air , tasty local veggies , local cuisine - perfect for a 3 - 4 day getaway , drive from Kathgodam is only 3 1/ 2 Hrs. We stayed at the largest villa which had a sit out and a spacious bedroom - views of snow clad mountains are directly in front
This is a complete relaxing package. Location: though it's an off track destination, it's well connected by road. The last 2 km road is being built, but still is drivable. The scenery around it is mesmerising. On North direction there is beautiful view of snow ladden peaks of Nanda Devi and Trishul mountains. Gorgeous valleys can also be seen from here. If you have little bit of stamina, the location of this place will entice you. Ambience: very calm, as much close to the nature as possible in India. Most of the time we could listen only the sound of chirping of birds. Landscaping: blossoming of flowers welcomed us every morning. There is lots of space to relax around it. It's a big property with only very few rooms. Hospitality: this is the best part. Staff pampered us a lot. Everyone in the team is well trained and efficient. Food: want to borrow their chef. Always prepared food of our own choice! We tested kumanyu, continental and North Indian meals, breakfast of choice and unlimited supply of tea and coffee. Rooms: they are nice. Neat and clean, minimalistic yet tasteful. We stayed in mud house. This is an old house which is refurnished and a large bathroom is added to it. Activities: relaxing under winter sun, having lunch outdoor facing the snow peaks, trekking to a temple and to a waterfall close to the place were the activities we liked the most. There are not many outdoor games though. Bonfire during evenings while listening to music was relaxing. They also arrange picnic lunch and it's worth doing. Important points: there is no TV or intercom in the room. However we did not require them during our stay. There is a TV in common room. Mobile connectivity is acceptable. We didn't use their wifi. This place needs minimum fitness level. Although tea maker is not in the room, they provide it when asked. There is also a small Bluetooth speaker you can take with you when going for trekking. …
The staff, management, maintenance and overall hospitality was out of this world. I have been to a lot of 5-star properties but have never come across a service and genuine care for our needs and comfort like in this place. The food was tailor made to our needs. The location and the property itself is an experience to cherish. Thank you Itmenaan estate
We spent a week at the three properties of the Itmenaan estate and would highly recommend it. The main Itmenaan property is stunningly located with wide views of snow capped Himalayan mountains with walking possibilities of varying levels of difficulty. The level of hospitality is the best we could hope for with Amit the manager and guide going out of his way to ensure a memorable stay for us despite initial rainy weather. The rest of the staff were proactive and the food consistently fantastic - there was flexibility to cater for our western stomachs less accustomed to highly-spiced dishes which we appreciated. We loved seeing the local village life on our walks and Amit was always attentive when the slopes became more challenging. As birdwatchers we also enjoyed staying at Itmenaan’s Freddy’s Bungalow in Bhimtal. Thank you Amit and staff for matching the amazing setting of Itmenaan with such great service. Adam and Alice (UK)…

Amazing time spent at Itmenaan, Almora. Very thoughtfully curated place. Food and service were top notch. Amit the manager was very hospitable and courteous. They arranged for a trek to waterfall and a picnic lunch as well.
We have stayed in all kind of hotels, Homestays, lodges, hostels. Our profession is exciting and keeps us travelling and so we have experienced many kinds of service and infrastructure. But Itmenaan estate has been the BEST SERVICE I HAVE EVER SEEN! Each person of the staff are 100% dedicated to making your stay pleasureable and we were full of gratitude each and every. They cooked our meals with so much love, catered to our every fancy without the slightest hesitation. They were so accommodating of our large and noisy group and went the extra length to give us the best experience! They even sent us back with souvenirs l, rhododendron flower juice bottles as our welcome drink which I loved the first day. They thoughtfully sent me back with bottles. If you ever get a chance to go to Uttarakhand and want to spend some time in the lap of nature with a view of Uttarakhand range and experience the best there is service, this is a must-visit place!…
