Excellent property. The staff is extremely courteous and helpful and goes beyond the normal services to make your stay comfortable. Excellent tasty food, prepared fresh on order. The only concern is the approach road which is raw. It has been inyentionaly left like that by the June state owners to give a feel of forest trail. The rooms are great, I had duplex rooms for family, very cozy and comfortable. Overall experience was excellent.

The only minus point about this property is the road which leads to it. The last 10 minutes there were almost no roads. But once you reach the property, it's a sigh of relief.

We stumbled upon this resort as we were on a hunt to find one in this area. The place is at a beautiful location, surrounded by nature & wildlife. We were here for 3 nights & 4 days and had a beautiful experience.

We checked in a day before Holi. So the hotel was packed!
On the day of Holi, the staff had organized a small party with music, snacks, and colors. The staff was on their toes to make the festival a memorable one for the guests. They're very friendly and help you with every small thing you'd ask for.

The best part is that they had sports facilities in the resort, like - a badminton court (on rocky, though flat ground), table tennis table, chess, etc. We ended up playing almost everything and had a lot of fun. Especially badminton.

Though the food at the hotel is delicious, you can even go to a small maggie place just 5-7 minutes away from the hotel for breakfast or a snack. There are also 2-3 cozy cafes about 20 minutes away from the property which serve good food.

With all the activities, good food, and friendly staff, its a perfect place if you're looking to get away and just relax with your family or friends.

the first impression of this place was just awesome. it was situated amidst the jungle in a completely isolated place. the drive was an off road type drive, ideal for the one who love adventure. well the rooms and all were kept clean in spite of the greenery around. the langoors do try to trouble you but the helpers there are skilled enough to give them a run. the swimming pool is also good enough. the place is superb for a group and family outing. well now comes the bad part---Food. the food here is horrible I mean completely tasteless. in spite of continuous warnings the taste was hopeless. we called up their manager Mr Rishi Sinha and he reciprocated in a really adamant manner. he seemed to completely ignore what we said about the food. our complaint fell on deaf ears. (we went to club Mahindra to have lunch one day and I tell you what amazing local food we had. The service was also excellent.)
well just wanna say its a quiet serene place but CARRY YOUR OWN FOOD!

A drive around the Bhimtal lake, a winding Road climbing up, up and past the quaintly named Butterfly Museum, we came across the beautiful Mountain club. A faded name sign hung outside. A homely friendly building, with very helpful and friendly staff.. This is a place to visit with children. One O the few resorts which have a table tennis table plus all sorts of games organised for children, under guidance of very friendly boys.. While the grownups can chill out. The upper storey of the side building is at level with the tops of huge old pine trees. I even saw the sparkling fireflies in the branches one night.
Drinks /dinner served as room service on request.. Otherwise, there is a beautiful dining hall in the main building. The nicest feature is a machaan up on a tree.. Where you can spend an evening talking, thinking.. Reasonably priced with delicious meals, mountain club is a must visit getaway place.

It was pretty disappointed to see the Mountain Club after traversing through the reviews mentioned on the tripadvisor website. I am fully disappointed with the facilities being provided by the hotel. The room was not only stinking but even the bed sheets were not clean. Even bed sheets were being used multiple times.

Lastly, even the refrigerator was not available in the room as mentioned on the website. I would not even rank this hotel as two star. After paying such heavy amount for two day vacation, I am fully dissatisfied.

I loved the first look and impression of this place, but the moment I reached there with my family and friends all my feeling vanished.
We had plans to forget our daily hectic schedules and booked a resort for leisure but we ended up landing at a fixed time schedule school hostel.

They have few positives which I would like to sum up first, as they are very few – clean good size rooms, spring beds, ample open play area.

I had made half of the payment in advance for a 3N 3 room stay at this so called 3 star resort, the moment I reached there, the receptionist demanded more money saying the advance was for the head office, cough up something for us.

For extra bed they provide only mattress on the floor without cot– and that’s their policy.
Cold food that too very average, drinking water in used packaged drinking water bottles, dirty swimming pool, no microwave, filthy refrigerator(that too not in all rooms), Old TVs(LCD in few rooms only) not very clear cable reception, no card accepted and so on. The list is endless.

Never heard a ‘yes’ for any of the request we made on the first instance, whether it was for snacks, room service, food timings, quilt change, extra bed with cot, its a long list.

If you want to stay here, either you need to have too much of patience(read neglectful) or you must have a loud roar.

nice laid back place in the midst of a jungle. has lot of play area for badminton, lot of outdoor seating space; indoor games and swimming pool as well. You can go for a stroll early morning in the surrounding woods, its amazingly serene. However, if you are the kind of person who needs a view from the hotel then this is certainly not the place for you. Because you dont see anything except trees first of all, you do get glimpse of bhimtal lake which is anyways not a great sight!
Rooms are spacious, food is good, so is the service. The only challenge is reaching this place from Bhimtal lake. It is 3.5km uphill where there is practically no road and the kacha rasta is too narrow to drive. Also, u will encounter a lot of deadly dogs on the way, langurs too, so u cant walk this way down. But the hotel has maintained a different short cut to the lake if you dont plan on taking your car. All in all found it decent for a group outing.

Neglected property by management.Pathetic road to drive to resort especially at night.Rude staff, looking for opportunity to make quick buck by arranging helpless tourist transport at double the price.Rooms are damp, musty & broken.Poorly lit.To stay for a week on time share or RCI holiday is sheer torture.Country Inn location is much better.Even the property in Nainital-Alpine Club of same management is a bad choice.Stay away even if you get a free holiday...
