About the hotel: The hotel is nice, rooms & bathroom are neat & clean, Location lake facing & is 5 minutes walk from BHIMTAL lake.
Parking: In hotel, they don't allow parking due to limited space. They have a separate private parking space with guard few kms away from hotel. They provide shuttle service to & from for convenience of guest to the parking & also to Bhimtal local market(8am to 8pm)
Dining:
The food quality and hospitality is very good. The master chef Mr Prakash, Restaurant manager Satyender, and his entire serving team takes care very well.
They don't have dinner buffet daily unless they have big booking. The buffet is very good. But if no buffet, ala-Karte dining may turn out to be a bit expensive comparatively.
They also serve high tea in the evening with nice masala tea & cookies which can be enjoyed sitting in lap of nature.
Caution:
Being a forest, sometimes monkeys intrusion is there on the walking track in & around hotel location.
Avoid walking on the main highway road alongside Bhimtal lake due to heavy traffic and no space for walkers.

The hotel is very clean and well maintained. The staff is very cordial and always ready to serve with a smile. Great location as it's just across the bhimtal lake. Food is also nice . The interiors are done very tastefully be it the cafe , the outdoor seating or the room .

Went to Bhimtal in June 2024. Beautiful property located near Bhimtal lake. Food was very good though a little expensive. Excellent service as well. Good food….well maintained Propetry besides the lake. Nice service by Laxman! The Propetry is maintained by Sarovar portico just beside the Bhim tal lake. You can walk down to the lake and it’s a 5 min walk only. Baby / infant food is complimentary and well prepared

"My stay at sarovar portico bhimtal exceeded all expectations. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warmth and professionalism by the staff . The room was spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated, providing a comfortable retreat after a long day of travel.One highlight was the delicious breakfast buffet, offering a wide array of options to suit every palate. The location of the property is quite good overall an average experience, bear in mind that service is not 24*7 whether it be housekeeping or a few other services, they are not available from 12am to 8am, also most of the time the calls to housekeeping are routed to front desk (basically a cost cutting measure by the managing partner!) parking at the hotel is scarce, they have a parking lot quite faraway however they do have a pick up and drop service, guards at the hotel are very warm and cordial and help with the navigating the car parked at the hotel.
Special mention to Mr. Laxman from the restaurant who went out of his way to provide info about local Kumaoni cuisine and local food!
I won't say it as a value for money experience, also the view of Bhimtal from TRH KMVN by Uttarakhand is much better as compared to this property if view is a consideration for you.
Otherwise whoever is managing the hotel they try to cut corners and costs everywhere from not so well functioning central HVACs to reducing manpower costs.
Special mention to Mr. Laxman from the restaurant who went out of his way to provide info about local Kumaoni cuisine and local food!
I won't say it as a value for money experience, also the view of Bhimtal from TRH KMVN by Uttarakhand is much better as compared to this property if view is a consideration for you.

We stayed here with 6 more couples but from the time we checked in they had NO written all over for everything. We asked for tea outside in there garden they said NO. We asked to iron our clothes they said it will take 2 days. One of our friend felt sick so we asked for cookie or toast so that he can take medicine at around 12 they said a big NO. They said after 11 we don’t have any staff. Mosquito’s are here to welcome you. Rooms are ok. Balcony’s are only to stand.

this property is a better option when compare to the extremely overcrowded nainital which i avoid since long time, one can have good time with serenity peace and good hospitality staying here.
rooms are spacious and good with partial view of bhimtal lake.
live counter of evening tea serves best of local tea with biscoti on the wooden deck.
breakfast options for veg are limited with live counter but are a perfect fit for anyone.
dinner we had a buffet but instead restaurant manager Lavlesh offered ala carte of our choice with various options to choose from & Head Chef Janu Sharma was the best to provide best of delicacies.
they have entertainment for guest like magician to have some fun time while dining.
thr is dedicated play area with table tennis, carrom, chess , av projector, music etx.
dont forget to enjoy bonfire when visiting in winters with spirit of your choice.

breakfast options for veg are limited with live counter but are a perfect fit for anyone.

The best hotel in Bhimtal / Nainital. We wanted a peaceful vacation, so decided to spend it in Bhimtal. We are very particular about cleanliness and Hygeine, Therefore alot of resarch goes into booking a hotel. If you are reading this review, I have just saved you weeks of resarch.
Stay here, if you are looking for a High quality luxury experience. Rooms are spick and span, equipment in rooms are top end and the location is unbeatable.
Apart from the tangible aspects scoring all marks, the Intangible service aspect is where this hotel makes it mark of being truly in the big leagues ( 4 to 5 star category). The General Manager Mr. Pushp, made it his mission to cater to our every need. Every small request of ours was fulfilled with a smile. The prices are on the higher side, but every single Rupee was worth it.
