Visited Moksha with family for 3 days in June,12. The drive from the main road to the accomodtion is not very good. The location of the place is good, surrounded with thick cover of trees, away from the noise of main road. in fact, one can't hear any traffic from the main road. The environment is homely with spacious rooms with attached drg dining. The voltage was always low resulting in lower lux levels of lighting at nights. Power supply is erratic but genset is good enough provided it is started in time. On the last night of stay, power went off and the caretaker's mobile was switched off which caused little inconvinience. The service was good. The caretaker always provided us with what we desired. Food was homely to our taste but at same time they prepared other indian food at requests on short notice. We loved to stay at the front laws which was always in shade. Most wonderful was the morning time when there were chirping birds. This place is for those who want to stay away from the maddening city crowds and want to spend wome quality time. There are no market/convinient shops in the vicinity so one must tell the caretaker well in advance about any requirements. The ambience is nice and flexible unlike any hotel where one is confined to one's room only. The tarriff is OK but food was bit expensive. I tried dinner at a five star resort nearby and to our horror there was no water in washrooms. Thank god, we had plenty of water at Moksha so we came backand had dinner at Mokhsa only. I guess the hills are getting hotter every summer so would have liked if there had been a celing fan above dining table. In the end, I enjoyed my stay and would like to spend time again in future.…
Moksha Retreat is the best place for weekend trip. We three friends visited Moksha weeks back, stayed at Moksha as one of our friends knew the owner through reference. It was a nice place and beautifully located amidst the jungle. Rooms are spacious and decorated with paintings and flowers. It has a garden in front of the retreat and the breeze passes through whimsically and leaves behind scent of soil and unknown flowers, giving your mind a great relaxation. Very nice place and services guys are very supportive. If you are visiting Bhimatal, Moksha is your best choice!
Moksha Retreat is my first choice of stay in Bhimtal. I along with my family and friends have been there three times in last two years, and enjoyed their services, food and support. The place is very secluded, surrounding jungles and covering the land green lush. Their dishes are very tasteful and rooms are clean and decorated. Owner is very strict and concerned about the services rendered. She herself visited our rooms twice and asked us if we need any support to visit the surroundings or anything else. Services guys were also very sociable and nice.
Last week I booked 2 rooms for a family trip. We enjoyed the serenity of the place. Sitting amidst the herbal trees and beautifully managed vast green lush, its an awesome experience even to have a cup of masala tea. They offered excellent meals. On our request, the guys prepared special dishes for our kids. Owner never made us feel it was a hotel, services were so excellent. Rooms are spacious and clean. If I ever come this area again, I would never search for second option.
I was here for a work trip and the quiet location was ideal for peak tourist season when the lake side is quite busy. It is set amongst woodland with a beautifully maintained garden. It felt more like a home stay than a hotel and the service was excellent. The double rooms are comfortable and large. The garden has seating areas which are ideal for breakfast or to read after a long day, and there is a spacious well furnished communal lounge with TV and dining area to retreat to if the rain begins. The menu is fixed (veg or non-veg) but the meals were freshly prepared and tasty. I would definately stay here again if I am in the area.
we halted at moksha for a night en rout to mukteshwer and this was really beyond my expectation. the beauuty of home stay is at its best with two very co operative staff. location is really superbe with a view of bhimtal from the garden rates are very reasonable too.
Our stay was great; nice staff. Room was clean and quiet with nice beds. nice place to spend some time at...and it is very quiet. Would most definitely stay here again.
I loved the rooms and the retreat. The place is charming with lots of flowers and gazebos and hammocks making for some lovely lazy afternoons! The staff was friendly and very helpful. Would love to return again!
