A bit more expensive than hotels in the village, but there are always good deals combined with Phantasialand tickets, it just adds to the magic and vacation feeling. Too bad the garden entrance through the looping of Black Mamba rollercoaster isn't used (unlike hotel Ling Bao) but the park is just around the corner. After expieriencing both hotels we always...

We stayed for three nights at the Hotel Village Matamba and had a lovely break. The room/bathroom was spotlessly clean. Facilities were relatively basic but what you would expect from a hotel of this rating. The only things we missed (being British!) were tea/coffee in the room and also a double duvet on the bed. Instead there was two single...

We stayed with 4 adults and 2 kids one night in Matamba, two days in Phantasialand and had dinner and breakfast in Restaurant Zambesi. We had a perfect time and all staff members did a great job. The atmosphere in the hotel was just great. The rooms are very nice and the shower was the best ever in a hotel....

Stayed in Cologne but expo had really pushed the prices up for inner city. As I had a car I went for here because the review rating was good and only 20 mins drive. I hadn't really thought it would be a theme park! It is dark in winter - not the most obvious place to find - the car...

It was a strange expérience to use such a holiday hotel for a business conference. Personel is charming, the decor is very african style and there is a small camp style bedroom in the rooms for kids. Floor would need a bit of repainting, but it's surely not the kind of place you would look down anyway. All in all,...

If you go by train there is a good connection by shuttle bus to the hotel, it stop only in Bruhl Mitte. If the hotel is open then the shuttle busses are going. The public transport site VRS can show different information ( PHL = Phantasialand busses ). Tickets you can buy directly at bus ( includes return ). The...

I'll start with the good points The 3 star hotel is really well done in terms of creating an African theme from its masks, animal murals, indoor jungle gym and bedroom decor. Breakfast has a good selection better than most in its class; the hotel bar has a wide range of drinks plus the two kids play areas are close...

We stayed for 3 nights at the hotel Matamba and I have to say we were impressed. First the positives, The room was spacious and clean and slept 6 of us, the African decor around the hotel was fabulous I would say better than the animal kingdom lodge at Disney which is very similar. The jungle assault course on the...

Loved this hotel. Great service and location. The restaurant beautifully themed with great service and attention to detail. The hotel guest evening private access to ride the new attractions was worth the stay alone!
