We are so happy that we chose Tigergarh to stay during our recent jungle safari. What makes Tigergarh a preferred resort for all wildlife enthusiasts is— 1- Location: it’s located in the buffer forest zone of the famous Bandhavgarh national park. Just 4-5 mins drive from core zone gates. You can hear tigers roaring and deers making alarm calls in your room. You will find a wide variety of birds and butterflies right on your lawn. Rabbits, foxes, and monkeys are occasional visitors. Bandhavgarh prides that it has the maximum density of tigers in India and “you are really unlucky if you don’t see a tiger”. 2- Host/ Resort Owner Gagan- Gagan is passionate about wildlife and therefore left his successful career with the corporate world to pursue his dreams in the forests of Bandhavgarh. His hospitality spirit is unmatched. He was personally there to receive us at the end of every safari, inquire about our discoveries and ensure that our needs were met. He even planned a surprise candle-lit bonfire dinner for us on thelast night. He is quite knowledgeable in wildlife, took us for bird watching walk in buffer forest, and introduced us to local villagers. 3- Highly professional and courteous staff- Gagan has trained his team well. These humble, caring souls from local villages went out of their way to care for our needs. Every morning I got my bed tea at 5 am sharp. 4- Super delicious Homemade Food: After a long tiring safari all you need is a good, healthy, delicious, less-spicy meal. They got it. Their chef is awesome. He remembered our exact meal preference and surprised us with great combinations from Indian to continental, Chinese, Sizzler’s, etc. 5- Comfortable rooms and ambiance: The property is most aesthetically designed using sustainable materials and local art. They even hire women artisans and masons for decor and upkeep. Rooms are comfortable with all amenities and hot water. Each cottage feels like a house in the wilderness with all modern comforts. We strongly recommend nature lovers to visit Bandhavgarh and stay with Gagan at Tigergarh We will plan another visit soon.

This place is already rated as high as it an be, and I'm adding to that! We stayed here for 2 nights end of March 2021. Our original dates were for March 2020, but something happened, and we had to reschedule... ;-) Since this was our first Safari / Jungle experience, we wanted to make the most of it, so I was in touch with the hotel before Booking. Gagan, the proprietor, was always available for my messages, and he made the decision easy. Tiger Garh did not disappoint - the place is well maintained. The fixtures and fittings in the room are of good quality, and the experience was very authentic. A lot of attention to detail made the place feel like a Luxury Jungle Lodge. As is the norm the stay included all meals. The food is fresh, flavorful, and healthy feeling. We enjoyed all our meals here and they were open to suggestions as well. One of the nights (that happened to be our Anniversary) they made it special with a candle lit dinner and a special chinese sizzler. Food overall is excellent. The Host - Gagan, is doing this as a passion project and as such is really involved. Specially if you share his passion for wild life. He was ever present, and always came in when we were coming back from our Safaris, and during meal time. Big ups to him and his team for keeping it real. One major point - Airtel and possible some other services don't catch signal here, and when we went there was no WiFi. Jio and BSNL were working so if you come prepared you dont need to be disconnected. We were, and we didnt mind it too much. There is also a cute little pool which we enjoyed one afternoon. All in all - if you are looking for a clean, authentic, yet luxurious jungle experience - Gagan's TigerGarh is the way to go.

Having been to Bandhavgarh multiple times, Tigergarh has been the single most amazing place not just in terms of the property but the overall experience. The location is set close to the Khitauli part of the forest and the proximity gives you a chance to spot wild animals or alert calls right from within the property. People look forward to a great culinary experience while they vacation and Tigergarh will impress. The food is extremely fresh, tasty and if you really love something they do part with recipes. Rooms are cozy, rustic yet extremely clean and well maintained. We learnt from Gagan, the owner of the place, that all of the furniture is locally procured or made right within the resort. Gagan is a very welcoming host and we had an amazing time listening to all his experiences about wildlife while we chilling around the fire. The staff is well trained, well behaved, polite, attentive and very helpful. Tigergarh was quite an experience. If you're in Bandhavgarh, this is where you should stay, period.

Let me begin by saying that Tigergarh is not just a stay or a resort, it is an experience. And a what a wonderful experience it was!! My husband and I stayed at Tigergarh for 4 days and we loved every minute of it. The moment we entered the resort, we were in awe of the place. The decor, the setup, the attention to detail was nothing short of brilliant. We had an entire cottage to ourself which was tastefully done up with a four poster bed, huge windows, and a very spacious bathroom. Everything was environmentally sustainable. Organic soaps and shampoos, coloured linen to reduce the use of bleach and the wooden paraphernalia, including wooden switchboards and even clothes hanger. It was all beautiful. The food was outstanding. A menu was curated for each meal and everything we ate was a surprise and a delight. Locally sourced produce was used for the meals and the variety that we were served was surprisingly pleasant. We could not have asked for more. Mr. Gagan, who apart from being the most gracious host, is also extremely knowledgeable about the forest and it's flora and fauna. He accompanied us to all of our safaris and gave us the most interesting trivia on Bandhavgarh, its history, the birds and of course the tigers. He would personally ask each of his guests about their stay and would ensure that none of us felt any discomfort at all. His collection of books and art were fascinating to say the least. There is so much that we've learnt from him and our appreciation for nature has only grown, and our faith, that there are people who are striving in their own little ways to work for the environment, was strengthened. The staff, the backbone of Tigergarh, running the entire place from behind the scenes, were an absolute delight. Mostly from the local village, these people took such great care of us that we felt almost like royalty. One evening my husband and I were having tea and we were talking about how a nice snack would be the perfect accompaniment. Just as we finished this thought, Ashok, one of the staff members, appeared with a plate of snacks. It was as if he'd read our mind. Both the Ashoks (Singh and Yadav), Dinesh the manager and Dinesh the driver and all of the others, served us with a smile on their faces and when we returned disappointed after a safari for not being able to see a tiger, they assured us that during the next safari we would definitely see one. And we believed them and that's exactly what happened. The two of us had the most amazing time at Tigergarh. We lazed around at the property and spent our time reading, walking in the sprawling gardens, swimming, chilling on the hammocks and generally admiring the entire place. Also, the much needed tech detox happened because of sketchy network, which was perfect for people like us who needed time away from our screens. We're sure to return to Tigergarh, this time perhaps with our families.

We stayed in this property in Dec 2020 for 3 nights and it was an awesome experience. Food was tasty but the overall service with personized touch was exceptional. Many thanks to resort owner Mr. Gagan Gahlot for taking us on a village tour. Loved the bonfire too. Would love to visit it again.
