We stayed for two nights at MPT White Tiger Resort and found this to be one of the nicest MPT properties overall. This is a huge property with a lot of green spaces and a play area for kids. You can be assured of your privacy. It is also very near to the Tala gate. The rooms are very clean and above average. The linens provided were clean and the amenities were quite nice. The bathroom was clean with a good geyser. We opted for a room that was far from the restaurant and it offered us more privacy. THe walk to the restaurant within the property was nice and it is as if you are walking in a park. What we really liked was the kids' play area and a lot of open spaces to sit and relax. The staff were quite good and do their job efficiently. The front desk was quite helpful in all our queries and ensured we good all that we needed for the morning safari. I really liked the way they gave us a packed breakfast and offered tea at 5:30 AM in the restaurant on a cold winter morning. Plus they also offered us additional blankets for safari. Kudos to the staff here. They also have a bar which is unlike some other MPT properties and it is a welcome addition. The food is good and pretty standard fare but cooked and served well. Just avoid crowded dinner/lunchtimes as the restaurant gets crowded. Overall we found this a very good and safe place to stay at Bandhavgarh. Well done to the MPT Team.…
Location and service are really good, however rooms and overall management is poor. For instance, we had to shower with ice cold water in December winter as the Generator backup does not cover Geysers & ACs and there was a prolonged power outage. They should have at least put Solar Geysers so that the water is not ice-cold. The mattresses were not comfortable as they were old, there was no king bed, bathrooms weren't as clean, the equipment was sub-standard, for instance the plastic mug in the bathroom was of a very inferior quality and caused scratches on kids' soft skin, the doormats and towels were old and pale. The local hotel management did everything possible in their capacity, however, I think its a bigger organizational problem with MPT, especially their procurement and senior management sitting miles away from the actual properties. Most things in the rooms are wearing out, and need repairs. The food was simple, tasty and served with gratitude, however dining needs better cleanliness, presentation and more choice in menu, especially keeping in mind that kids yearn for variety of food options beyond just the traditional Indian buffet. Did not try room service, but heard from fellow travelers that it was slow. For e.g., one can't get morning tea/coffee served at room at 5:30 am if you are opting for a morning Safari at 6 am, though the packed breakfast they provide is good. I would sum up by saying its decent place, and a good backup option, but not the primary choice if one is spending north of Rs. 5K/night.…
Located at a walking distance from Tala Gate, this has lush green compound and has alot of space. We visited in Christmas 2020. Rooms are clean and staff is attentive. The elevated rooms are best. The folk dance and bonfire arranged by the hotel has added warmth to our stay. Have nice playing area for kids as well. Perfect for family stay. The hotel arranged for our safari as well provided you've online permit. P.S.: Since its run by state government, dont expect variety in meals but its surely good in taste.
This MP Tourism property does not look like a government property, but looks more of a high end resort. The layout of it is wonderful. The machaan was our favourite spot for clicking pictures. The food was very good, and they even prepared egg curry as we requested them, because we had been having chicken and mutton for consecutive days. We placed a request with the manager to arrange for a bonfire and they took care of it too. Some area of concerns were, the rooms are a bit small, and there seems to be a lack of communication between them and gypsy drivers of the safaris, as a result of which we lost out some of our jungle safari time in the morning. Since we visited during the pandemic times, they were very well trained and we're following each and every protocol. A memorable stay indeed just beside the Tala gate at Bandhavgarh.…
It's is my second visit to BANDHAVGARH NP after 10 years. As like as my last visit, this time I also chose MPT White Tiger Forest Lodge. It's a great filling when I saw that the transformation of this govt. property from very good to excellent. Only one con is observed during my stay and that's the teast of the non vegetarian cuisine. Hopefully the current management would look after it. I also thanks them to make the property so beautiful.
