The lodge is environmentally sensitive, harmonious with the natural features of the site and accentuates natural daylight to all facilities. Local knowledge and art has been incorporated in the development and the lodge has been constructed using local manpower. The lodge is rustic yet deluxe, finished with fine cotton and handcrafted furniture. The lodge is set in a forested estate of 32 acres over looking sal forested hills on both sides. Bandhavgarh was established in 1968 as a National Park, and is spread over an area of 448 sq. kms. This national park was declared as a tiger reserve under Project Tiger in the year 1993. It is predominantly covered with vegetation like SAL, SALI, DHOBIN and has vast stretches of grasslands spread over 32 hills, the region though smaller than other wildlife parks has one of the highest density of tigers in the world.

Our third lodge - where we stayed 3 nights was probably the best experience. Uttam was an excellent naturalist, and we were fortunate enough to have some stunning views of Tigers, including having D1 with us for 15 minutes on a very special sighting with just us. Truly a magical experience - as was the whole experience at the lodge.

An excellent comfortable lodge with friendly, helpful and attentive staff. We stayed in a stilted cottage which was roomy and well equipped. The food was excellent: well presented and tasty. Dining outside was a bonus. The lodge is also a short drive from the park entrance. The game drives from the lodge were memorable. Veer, our driver/guide was exceptional. He was friendly, informative of flora and fauna and the history of the park and its environs. We really enjoyed our stay and the the encounters with tigers were fantastic!

For someone like me, who travels every month for work and having stayed in 100+ hotels (business and luxury) globally, this is by far the best place. And not just because the rooms are nice and big but because staff is very sweet and hospitable. The food tasted like home made fresh food. 100% worth the money.

Excellent service all round. Attentive and well trained staff. Food was also top draw and there was enough variation for those who wanted it but the Indian dishes were superb. The Manager spent a lot of time with the guests ensuring that everyone was happy. The standard of the accommodation was also very good. Would highly recommend Kings Lodge. Well done all, pleasure to be with you.

The third and final resort on our tour of the parks and a great way to finish. The whole area is immaculate, the food was something to look forward too, but the packed breakfast was not the best we had experienced. The room was great, hot water bottle at night when its high 20s, made us smile and service was excellent by every single member of staff, a credit to all. Some details lost in translation but thats part of the fun. Travelled with Tiger Safari who provided the guide etc and they as usual proved invaluable. Saw everything except sloth bear but did come very close to a herd of elephants without warning, quick reverse and no issue. We would without doubt return and have no qualms in advising a stay here.

Our time at King’s Lodge was the perfect way for us to conclude our month long visit to India. This is a lovely eco-lodge located quite close to the park in a quiet rural setting. The various buildings fit into the landscape beautifully, and the public spaces and cottages feature many pleasing and interesting examples of local art work and handicrafts. The quality of the food is outstanding, and the cottages are very private and comfortably furnished. The level service provided by every member of staff, from the manager through to the waiters and porters, is extraordinary. Without exception, they are welcoming and friendly, and they are eager to make one’s stay as comfortable and as enjoyable as possible. We were very fortunate that Raju (sp?), the head biologist, was our driver and guide on all our safari drives. He proved to be very accommodating, pleasant and highly knowledgeable, and he went above and beyond the call of duty on a number of occasions. For example, even though online tickets were sold out, he managed to find park tickets for a member of our group who was a last minute addition. We loved our visit to King’s Lodge and look forward to returning, hopefully next year.

The Lodge is charming and clean. The people who work there are very accomodating, I had a wonderful experience, I was alone but never felt alone. I went on 2 safaris. The naturalist who drove my jeap was very experienced. The atmosphere of the jungle and the lodge made it very worth while to make the trip that for me was out of the way. I did not see a tiger, We did try . I saw a sloath bare with cubs on its back. Fun...

Just returned back to the UK after a 5 night stay at Kings Lodge. What an experience!! It's a lovely modest lodge, nestled within a buffer zone of Bandhavgarh NP. The hotel employ local people from the village and also give back to the community by inviting local kids in a few times a year to educate them on wildlife etc - big tick for me! The staff were very attentive and quick to provide you with anything you required. Rooms were spacious and well ventilated. The only problem we had with the room was that the floor was quite dirty upon arrival, but quickly rectified by the staff (but to be expected in the middle of the jungle!!). Food was amazing and plentiful - we loved that the waiters would always ask if we wanted more of a certain dish. They have Indian and continental dishes, personally would always opt for the Indian as it's what they do best! The safari's are great but you MUST book in advance as there are limited core zone tickets. We had more success in seeing tigers on the afternoon safaris but obviously this changes as you can't control nature. The only things I would suggest to improve are the firmness of the beds (they're very firm) and the wi-fi which would sometimes cut out. A huge thank you to Prasanta for ensuring we had a lovely stay (and for taking me for a spin on the bullet!) and Uttam Singh for using his experience as a naturalist to show us 4 tigers throughout our safaris. I look forward to returning.

Just returned from a stay here with my mum. We were extremely well looked after, all staff very attentive and friendly. Very peaceful place to relax after game drives. Cottages are lovely, food fantastic and plentiful with a choice of Indian or continental. Naturalists are very knowledgeable and really want to do their best for you to see as much wildlife as possible. We were lucky enough to have 4 tiger sightings during our stay which was way more than we imagined. Thank you to all at Kings Lodge you really do have an amazing lodge and would recommend to anyone!
