The Dunagiri retreat is placed at such a beautiful location that you can feel the peace and tranquility run through your veins as soon as you set foot there. Its place you would like come to, to leave the worries of the world and be one with nature.. The breath-taking sunrise, peaceful daytime and wonderful evenings spent infront of bonfires in tents made days perfect. The accommodations were very comfortable, spacious clean and eco-friendly. What sets this place aside from the rest is the warm hospitality of the staff and the amazing care and consideration of the retreat owner., which made the stay so comfortable and the entire experience divine. I would highly recommend this place for a beautiful vacation....

A place which is as comfortable as home...as exotic as a resort...as serene as an ashram....and as close to nature as wilderness... It was a pleasure being there . The people were kind and ever smiling...always ready to oblige with any kind of help and did not come into our way or interfere too much....

Although I am not a member of the Self-Realization Fellowship nor subscribe to their practices, I had a strong calling to visit the Cave. And so I went. One of the problems when visiting these remote Himalayan hill destinations is finding decent accommodation. Babaji's cave is located in a remote Dunagiri village in the hills! It is not on the tourist route nor the mainstream pilgrim's circuit. It's just a simple cave and not a temple. Anyway further in the same blog's postings, I was very glad to come across Dunagiri Retreat. I contacted Piyush, the owner of the newly built retreat,

Stayed for several nights at Dunagiri Retreat....amazing locale, pleasant rooms, good food, excellent service....a very reasonable cost for being able to stay in such a serene place and for being treated so very well by the owner and staff. Retreat operates with very thoughtful approach to local environment and conservation. Would reccomend it for anyone!
