We had booked this hotel for two nights from 26 to 27 April 2022 but had to shorten our trip to one night only. The hotel is located in an Old Grant Bungalow in the Army Cantonment which is in a very poor state of maintenance. There is NOT a single window in the room. The wiring was loose and there was only charging point for the mobile located in one corner of the room, far away from the bed. The state of ambient lighting in the room is very abysmal, To sum it up, the amenities in the room are very poor. The only good point is the proximity of the hotel to the Cantt historical Walk Road. The standard of food was satisfactory.
Great location of the hotel. Amazing and spacious rooms. Huge and well laid out property with spectacular view of the setting sun. Very polite and helpful staff (special mention for Chandan, Prakash and Kailash). Food is very very tasty and you would leave with extra Kgs of weight after your stay :) . The owner (Mrs. Rekhi) is very polite and good to talk to. It was a dream holiday for us. Thank you West View Hotel :)
Simply Superb Resort. An British Lodge converted into a fabulous resort where both luxury and heritage mix. About 103 years old with its charm intact. Lots and lots of greenery and peace all round. Fantastic place for families to chill out and energise. Located just 3kms from main market. Best Resort in the whole area. Fantastic Food. Though very limited options available. But whatever they serve, its very very good. Little expensive budget wise
Westview hotel was a great experience. We were there briefly for some rest and lunch. The launch was elegantly and tastefully decorated. The restaurant was great too, following all Covid protocols. Excellent food and remarkable service. Keep it up!
we have spend beautiful time , good restaurants near by and local market is a footway distance.you can see beautiful mountain ranges from the rooftop and so much pure breeze of wind. It was a family trip you can also plan this place to rejoice.
From 6th to 8th October 2019 stayed in West View Hotel Ranikhet. It is a well maintained Resort 2 km before the heart of Ranikhet. Unlike Market area this locality is reasonably neat & clean area as Military is controlling a major part of Ranikhet. We booked Grand suite which comprises of 2 big rooms, large living area & a big portico. Front portion is full vacant for good view of mountains. This is a British period property. Resort is in a big area with plenty of flowers, well maintained by the resort staffs. One adjacent Sai temple is there. Badminton court is all time available for the guests. Dinning space is little bit small. Food is so so. Resort staffs are always ready to give service. As the location is surrounded by forest, some insects are entering the room even if it remains closed. This should be taken care of by the management. On the whole it is a good place for rest. Resort can be booked through travel sites or direct. Mr Rajeev of Delhi sales office is a nice person for booking or any other help.…
We, a group of 5 couples visited West View for our annual Holi Break. We were alloted rooms in their rearend block with its own lawn and sitting area. It is an old bungalow converted into a resort. The rooms are big, cosy and heaters were placed in all considering the time of the year. We had a suite with 2 bedrooms and a living room big enough to accomodate all of us for our evening get togethers. The charm lies in the architecture which is very English and is maintained as such. There is a small temple in the premises too with a play area for the kids. The staff is extremely accommodating and catered to all our needs. The food was very good and the breakfast was a varied buffet daily. Lots of options for walks around the resort. Even though it is situated on the road going towards the Chaubatia gardens, this is a very quite and a serene location.…
its great big property. I visited with my wife, it was peacefull big heritage property to relax. if you want to just relax nice place for that. if you drink lover, carry with you as it's not available nearby.
Went to this place for lunch. The food was good and so was the service. The restaurant has a distinctive old world charm. The outside view is great overlooking the mountains. Outside there is a huge space for lounging around and enjoy the scenic beauty. The gardens are well maintained.
The hotel is just like a resort with huge campus. Its a heritage property. They have tried to maintain the heritage feeling in the rooms. You have fire place in the rooms, the furniture in the room is of ancient times. There is play area where you can enjoy badminton. The hotel provides the accessories for sports activities. The place is very quite in the night. You can sit in the garden and feel the noises of the jungle surrounding the hotel. Its quite peaceful out there. People who want to relax and spend quite lonely time should prefer this hotel.
