Dadhikar fort is a heritage property which has been converted in to heritage hotel, which is just 6 kms from alwar city and close to sariska tiger santuary,he Dadhikar Fort, Almost 1100 year ago, around 9-10 century, a residential camp was made in the dense forests amidst the Aravali Hills in Matsya Janpad area by a deserted family of King Chand who had to leave his capital named Abhanagari ( the place of grace), now known as Abhaneri after having lost everything in flood there. The word ‘Dera’ denotes camp and thus, place was called as ‘Derakar’ i.e to make a camp. Gradually with the passage of time the name changed and now it is known as Dadhikar, Alwar. This history is supported with the folk song sung by the people of this area as:

Fort Dadhikar in Alwar garners high marks for its cleanliness and the cooperative nature of its staff, ensuring a tidy and welcoming environment. The service at the hotel is often lauded, with guests appreciating the staff's attentiveness and hospitality. While the rooms are generally spacious and comfortable, equipped with modern amenities, there have been occasional mentions of maintenance issues.
Set in a prime location, the hotel's serene surroundings and cultural atmosphere, complete with historic charm and Rajasthani performances, contribute to its unique appeal. However, opinions are mixed regarding value, with some guests finding the dining options limited and the prices somewhat steep.

We stayed at Dadhikar Fort for 2 nights.
In total we were 4 friends wanted the much needed break from this unfortunate Covid lockdown situation .
After months of getting stuck in our houses , finally we planned after reading the good reviews and ofcourse since we all reside in Delhi , the distance was not that much .
The Road journey was very nice except the last 5kms but well signed and boarded so we never faced any problem nor missed any signs to reach our destinations
The entrance towards the Fort is beautiful .
The checkin was very swift we reached around 11:45 and got straight check in which we all needed .
The rooms are very beautiful and artistically done they have tried to give an old worldly touch to it , very spacious rooms and bathroom with lovely terrace and balcony we had Himgiri and Nandavan both close to reception and restaurant and the fort has beautiful view of the Aravali hills and farm land all around .
On Saturday evening they arranged for a Cultural Program which was an insight to Rajasthan and Alwar history , it was lovely program which just like us other families also enjoyed .
A word of advise please arrange fans and seating arrangement before the program starts as it’s an eye sore plus because of the heat it distracts people’s attention.
The staff is very polite and hardworking
A bit of work is required in time management which Iam sure they will as discussed .
Swimming Pool was the only thing which was missing but later it was advised they have plans to construct by next year which will be a big USP for them .
Overall we really enjoyed our stay.
A big Thankyou to Shakti from the time I contacted him for booking and all questions and issues I bombarded him with , he was always patient and responded .
Our housekeeping guy Mahesh Thankyou for all the help and Iam sorry I don’t know the person name who served us in the restaurant, but Thankyou for all the help .
Hopefully will be back soon .

This has been long time I wish to stay in a fort. this time I chose this heritage property. Road to fort with beautiful weather make me feel that my decision was quiet right. Check in was smooth. They have 18 rooms all are of different flavour. But if are booking for more then 1 room make sure they are close or at distance. But best part is rooms have full privacy and private terrace type place to spend some quality time. On saturday night they arranged a cultural program that adds some more positives to our stay. Now the problems we faced. If anybody has health issues like knee problm etc they must think twice as you have to climb steep stairs every time you go for a meal. ther are 2 restaurent one for dinner and one for breakfast. Food quality was ok but expect some more options specially in breakfast at such huge price. Ok the property is heritage but you can put a decent working toaster at least that doent need to be heritage one. On sunday when hotel was fully occupied they served 4-5 options in breakfast but on monday surprise. What we could see was poha, paratha, breads. thats it, with fruits and beverage of course. Chef was helpful enough to provide us jain food at every meal. but we must deserve way better breakfast options when we are paying around 8-10k per night.

Food quality and especially service not upto the mark as expected from such places. In the window of 2 hour of lunch/dinner, majority of the item was unavailable even after an hour.
In Breakfast, poories as well bread pakode seems double fried as full of oil, worst ever we could have. In Dinner, with soup there should be Vinegar, Soya / Chilli sauces which were missing.
If i talk about the service then after ordering something for the 3 year old kid, we have to wait for half an hour and to remind 5 times atleast. Even for half glass milk it's like an assignment to do the multiple follow-ups.
Facilities like Bathtub is not of use due to cleanliness issue, also it's non functional as water gets drain too fast.
At the place of folk night, there was no proper arrangements and guests were sitting without even water. While soft drinks or snacks can be arranged there as the timings are completely overlapping with dinner. Also, there can be fans installed as the weather was too humid.
Roads to reach the place are also not good and can easily damage the clutch plate of your vehicle.
Overall it's highly overpriced looking at all the above pointers as well as the location, ambience etc etc. and not worth the money which we paid.

Pros -
Good location
Food is decent in taste
Rooms are clean
Cons -
Severely overpriced for the facilities provided
No internal activities setup by them. If not anything they can plan a trek to nearby jungle.
Food lacks variety, breakfast was as basic as what an oyo room would give you.

Good, small property to have a heritage feel.
Visited for 2 nights, booked Himgiri room with all meals.
Pros:
Heritage Property
Near to Delhi - 3:30 hours only
Can be a good family getaway
Suryakant was very much responsive while booking
Food quality is great
Cons:
Can not be compared with Neemrana although cost is almost the same
Nothing much to do - apart from trekking which is a small walk around
Rooms are small and nothing luxurious in feel
Overall can consider this for a visit with family!

We spent one night at Dadhikar fort hotel after spending the previous nite at Neemrana Hill Fort Kesroli,so that we could experience both.
Dadhikar has a better surrounding and location, nestled amongst Aravalis all around, and a vast green valley in front, full of mustard plantation. For the adventurous kinds , plenty of options for treks and walks thru the villages and mountains. The rooms are spacious too. This renovated property is really old, almost 1200 yrs plus, which can be experienced seeing the almost 3 ft thick walls, the windows and many other structural items. This has a different charm altogether.
Many open spaces and terrace available.
Food is above average .It met the requirements although expectation was more, considering the tariff plan.
The staff are helpful, including the front office and the Manager.
Suggestions- this property when compared with branded group owned similar properties, demand more finesse and polish, towards house keeping, service ,F & B.
The hotel can add on to guided trek facilities and visit to nearby caves/ adventure trips etc to attract the young travellers
Overall we had a good time .

A visit to Dadhikar fort is something out of the ordinary. It is near Alwar, about 3 hours from Gurgaon, so not too far away, but it looks like another world. Dadhikar is situated in the lap of the Aravali hills. ringed by mountains, with spectacular views all around.
The hotel has been rebuilt on the site of an old fort. It has picturesque terraces, lawns and courtyards. Thick stone clad walls with niches and jharokhas give it a regal look. The decor is antique, with massive wooden beds and beams and other period fittings.
We went midweek in off-season, so we were upgraded to the Kadamvan suite, and all meals were served in style. The service was excellent. Breakfast was exceptional. Lunch and dinner whether served at table or at the buffet were like very good homestyle cooking. Everyone was helpful with a smile. Whether serving food or taking us on a jeep trip, the staff went above and beyond service standards. Kudos to the manager Mr Shakti in coordinating our trip and dealing with unexpected changes etc.. One might have to wait a few minutes for water in the morning though, reminding us to be responsible tourists.
5000 year old Rock carvings, and the Sariska wildlife scenic buffer zone are must see places nearby.

Boutique Palace Hotel with a wonderful view of green and yellow mustard fields on one side and a hill on the back along with an excellent sunset view. A dilapidated fort has been painstakingly rebuilt and the place has managed to retain an old world charm inspite of its modern construction.
About 14 kms away from Alwar, this is a world of its own offering 18 rooms. We had driven down for Lunch from Delhi and spent the afternoon there. They offer a buffet — not very expansive — but very well cooked and delicious food and good value for money.
To top it all the courteousness and service is exceptional. Led by Mr Tulasi Sharma and his team, the service is prompt, customised to your needs and very professional .
Great place to visit and we will surely be back for an overnight stay.

The fort resort is quaint, utterly charming with a lot of open space. The room is made with the culture in mind and despite it being quite hot during the day, it was windy and airy. The food was very tasty and the servers were cooperative and eager to help. There was a cultural event as well which was beautiful.
Overall the place has the charm of an era gone by equipped with modern amenities and great service!
