Detailed Reviews
A beautiful heritage property located on a Hill top in Mount Abu. Colonial Manek Manor takes you back to the British era with many of it's interior decor items dating back to the British era. There are beautiful lamps and original paintings which add to it's heritage charm and makes your holiday a beautiful one.
What I loved about Colonial Manek Manor:
1. The location: One of their USPs is that they are a hill top property and I agree, it's location is superb! You get an amazing view of the Nakki lake on a clear day with the nearby hills creating a beautiful backdrop. If you're here, you'd wanna spend the whole day at the outdoor sitting area near the reception area. It's so beautiful and peaceful at the same time.
2. The sustainable decor: Mount Abu might be (in)famous as being the 'let's get drunk' location for Gujjus but there's a lot more to this beautiful slice of paradise and Manek Manor hotel is trying it's best to show this side to the tourists. They decorated their lawns with the alcohol bottles thrown away by the guests and converting some into planters. So very thoughtful!
3. The high tea point: The highest point in the property is their High Tea view point. You can ask them arrange for a high tea which you can then enjoy with the stunning view of the surroundings. It really elevates the whole colonial experience!
4. The rooms: Every corner Of Colonial Manek Manor exudes the colonial heritage essence that it stands for. Their star atraction is the suite room on the top floor which has some century old chairs and other furniture from the pre-Independence era. It's like, you get to time travel, you know? The suite is however on the costlier end. If you are more on the budget side, you can opt for the standard doubled bedded rooms or the luxury glamping tents (the most budget-friendly option) with complimentary breakfast.
The rooms were clean and spacious. Overall, a memorable stay experience in Mount Abu.

@The colonial Manek Manor
Near by city market,
Great place to stay,
location is best,
Ideal place to hang out with family and friends.
Staff is supportive and ready for help except main receptionist Mr. Naved, he is also agent for several properties in Mount abu, kumbhal garh and udaipur. He was not well and was suffering from a cold. Still sitting at the reception counter.
He keeps his self busy in mobile every time,
We find hotel by google and called the hotel number and he had received our phone, when we finalised every thing he gave us his personal banking details and forced us to transfer token amount in it.
When we wanna include breakfast in package he told please don’t pay now.
Come here and check our menu, and pay us 200₹ as per person extra, we will provide fresh breakfast, when we reached at hotel he refused and told us to order from menu.
He did not even answer satisfactorily or politely.
The main thing, food from outside in the hotel is prohibited, Which rule is not the same for all.
During our stay he allowed us outside food on 1st night,
We ordered dinner for 2nd night, he didn’t allowed it,
We faced many problems.
I kindly request management or authorities of The Colonial Manek Manor such a person is causing loss. please take some steps and be needful.

Dear Guest, Thank you for taking time to review us. We have read your experience and would like to assure you that Mr Naved does not manage any other property apart from Manek Manor. The time you were staying with us was a busy time so there were lot of guest visiting the property so he was finding rooms for them. Like we mentioned he manages only this hotel, it was upon the request of an existing guest who wanted to book a hotel in Kumbhalgarh so he searched property for him as a gesture. Sir we have buffet breakfast every day which is Rs200 per person that is correct. He just suggested you to order from menu as you were more in numbers and it would be good for (cheaper in bill). Denying you breakfast in neither in our interest and nor in yours. Outside food is strictly not allowed in the property which is displayed at the reception. You might have missed the display and ordered food which was politely allowed by the reception (it was some one else and not Naved) and informed that next time please dont order. The staff even served you and warmed the food for you without any charge. But sir the next day you ordered food which was against our policy. We were very professional in our approach but if at any point in the experience you felt bad we apologie. We hope to welcome you back.

The suite room is pretty bad .
For the price they take they dont even provide soap or toiletries .The cleanliness of the room is dismal . Things that were left over by the last resident were still in the room . Not sure if it was sanitised either .
The break fast is a mere four dishes which taste awful
During check out they bill you random dishes and you have to argue that you didn't order any .
A huge fault I did was book this directly from their website and could not do anything about it later .
This definitely isn't a 3 star .more like a single house lodge with multiple rooms in it
The staff is so bad behaved that they'll call you stupid on your face

Maneck manor in m'ont Abu is a terrible hotel. Sinks cracked. Switches don't work. No hot water in the bathroom or sink. The bathroom floor has a half cut pipe that that has not been levelled n hastily covered with black tape so u stumble upon it. Rooms have cobwebs. The staff is untrained, they tell u breakfast is included n then put up a bill.
There is no common staff bathrooms n toilets . the driver who has to have a bath after you in your bathroom.
Lavatory needs to b flushed 3 times for it to b completely clean. Pot is cracked n stained.
They are constructing new rooms so the workers work till midnight and the Reception asks u to adjust.
Lavish prices for terrible stay.
Always trusted trip advisor, travelled the world on their advice. But this one is daylight robbery.
Don't fall their deals. Their photos are misleading.
The property manager is not available to help. The receptionist is fresh from the fields.

Dear Guest, We are highly disappointed that we could not make your stay comfortable and a memorable one. Mam the switches in the room are 2 way switches. So may be you might have gotten confused and let us assure you that they are all working. Hot water is available 24 hours in the rooms and the sink. It was so cold at the time of your stay if hot water was not provided then none of the guest could have had a bath mam. And along with you others would have also complained. There are 3 more rooms next to you but we did not get any complain regarding this. Mam we tried to spot the pipe you talking about in order to repair / remove it but couldn't find it in the bath room. The staff is well trained mam. It was a courtesy knock on your door because the breakfast timing was getting over. Mam it was your second day of the stay where in on the first day we told you your breakfast was not included. So why we would offer you on the second day. There is one common bathroom for the drivers and our staff which is completely functional. On the contrary your driver was of an opinion that the bathroom was not up to his standard hence he did not use it. Other drivers were more then OK with it. We are sorry if the noise troubled you as it was not a new construction but small renovation. Mam also in your 2 day stay not once you mentioned that there was any issue like the vebs or the hot water or the pipe. If at all we would have come to know your issue we would have done everything in our limits to make it better if not anything else.

The hotel was good.
Location is excellent.
Rooms were good and the behaviour of staff was also friendly.
You cannot bring outside food though and the restaurant is not that good so in food you'll have to make some adjustments.
Other than that a great hotel with a reasonable price

I booked this hotel for my parents on their unplanned weekned getaway. They were so suprised to see this hotel at first glance that they called thrice in half n hour just to describe the beauty surrounding the hotel. They loved almost everything ambience, room, facilities, sitting areas, view point and services. The staff is warmly, actually my mom got excited on watching jambu tree outside her room, well hotel staff called jayanti and madhav took care of her wishes. Even the guy latif helpes my parents in whatever they need.
Thanks for taking care of them🤗
