The hotel was close to shopping, restaurants, and especially near the Messalini cave that was our main reason to be in Sami. Owners were very informative, helpful, and nice. Gave us a lot of good information about the town.

Very welcoming - kind and clean. Family run. They are very helpful. Cosy great value rooms with great views over Sami port and harbour from the balconies. Just a short walk to the harbour and restaurants on the fascinating sea front.

the room is in the center of sami. the room is very very small. the shower is quite small. and the shower curtain was not functioning. all the bathroom was underwater after a shower. the price is high for the room and the service. it has a nice balcony with a beautiful view.

Our stay at Hotel Melissani was an 'interesting' experience; and at the tail end of the summer season (end October) was virtually the only accommodation available in Sami that we could find. Our room had a balcony with a wonderful view over Sami harbour, and was basic and clean; if a little tired & old fashioned (typical shower immediately adjacent...

Wonderful! Right down to the bright orange, 1970s phone on the bedside cabinet. A friendly welcoming couple who make you feel right at home. Watch the sun go down over Kefalonia on your balcony with a beer or a wine then take a 2 minute walk to the harbour restaurants. This is a typically Greek hotel with lashings of hot...

A lovely old greek couple run this hotel. The decor is very dated, and the furnishings simple. However do not let this put you off! The hotel has great views over Sami harbour, and is right in the centre. Easy access to all major towns such as Argostoli etc. Great base for a short stay in Keflonia.

Lovely genuine owners. Great views. Very clean. Hot water, wifi, fridge. In the heart of the town of Sami. We arrived by ferry from Patras & were very friendly & accommodating when we turned up at 12:30am ! €35 per night for double but €30 if you stay longer. We bargained to €80 for 3. Good for transport links- can...

Ask for the room at the top, if available: the room is surrounded by the terrace and it feels like a little boat at sea. It's very very romantic! I love Sami, and this unpretentuous hotel in the back of the town gives you exactely what it promises to: it's simple, clean, and the owners are nice and friendly. If...

I liked this hotel, and I REALLY liked the owners, who were gracious, helpful, and Mikis spoke fairly good English. Also, the price is right. The rooms were clean and basic, but they were all sunny and bright, with balconies and views. There is a rooftop terrace as well.
