The property is small and dated. However the owners are keeping it up in a decent fashion. It was clean and quiet and I did have a good nights sleep. For the month of August the $79 Expedia rate was reasonable, considering the $200 plus, plus near by. My reason for staying there; it was a convenient location for a...

The rooms was fine but the family that ownes this hotel acts more like you are a stranger invading their home space rather than a paying customer. staff complained when I needed some help with my room. owned by a family who clearly does not want to be doing what they are doing

The room was basic, clean, not particularly well appointed. Soap, shampoos provided. Coffee ( surprisingly good), tea, micro wave. Close to beaches and restaurant options. Walls a bit thin. Bed reasonably comfortable.

Thought it was quite OK. We were having a one night over night that was more like beach adventure with a sleepover for kids of two families. Location was great as close to the beach and nice little cafe around the corner for breakfast. Full kitchen was great for keeping things there. Simple, clean, well-equipped. Would stay again, no problemo.

We stayed one night en route from the Okanagan to Victoria after work one day. We even reserved ahead. I've stayed in lots of places where I feel like I'm roughing it a bit but c'est la vie. This place, however, is not a do-over. It was unclean, smelly, in disrepair, and the owners could have cared less. And even...

So, I agree with some of the previous postings that this is a quirky, strange, and piecemeal place to stay for a night. BUT, you can't argue with the price ($79/night for 2 bedrooms, a bath, and a kitchen area with fridge, sink and microwave. The motel is nothing special, but considering how close you are to the natural areas...

Looks like the kind of place that was a bustling, cozy seaside motel: 30 years ago. Limply hanging Christmas lights, peeling paint, hair on the pillows, no light in the bedroom, the bathroom door is a bifold closet door, exposed electrical and plumbing in the room... It's bad. Don't bother.

Avoid this place. I stayed here in years past a couple of times and remember a tidy, cute little motel. I should have checked the Trip Advisor reviews before staying here again. It is now a dump. It is now run down and falling apart. I think the current owners are not putting any money into it and so the...

Could not sleep, found a used needle under bed! I slept in my car that night in the parking lot instead, as there was no refund. The manager turns on the "no vacancy" sign when he wants to watch the football game, and he and his family live in the front desk area. Don't stay at the Beach Grove Motel.
