We stayed 2 nights in the Aveda around Christmas and that was nice. 11 days seems to me far too long. It is a place to lounge around the pool, read a book, relax, but little else is happening. There is so much else going on in Kerala. I would suggest you cut your stay and spend a few days on a houseboat instead. I also found that getting a taxi in Kumarakom was expensive.
