Though the resort needs some beautification work, the property is really calm and peaceful. Very big swimming pool and excellent restaurant which serves authentic kerala cuisine. Try crab masala with steamed rice.

Kumarakom is a village on Vembanad Lake in the backwaters of Kerala, Southern India. It consists of lots of canals, where houseboats ply the waters. Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary is home to many species including cuckoos and Siberian storks. In the lake, Pathiramanal Island is a haven for rare migratory birds, which is very closeby.. Nearby within 2 and a half KM radius there are one or two ancient temples and churches ( at "Kudavacghoor".) The lakes & paddy fields are really a memory to cherish. And this is a place which lies under sea level.

Ok..had gone to this with my parents,family and sister. First of all it's a little bit interior and the entry to road is narrow so you have to be careful especially in night. Second the restaurant was in an ac room ,so ambience is ok and you won't get the natural feel of Kumarakom. The food as such was not anything new. Their menu is same that can be got in any normal restaurant. Food was ok.. we had gone around 3 PM a time where we were told that they were about to close their restaurant so don't they have ala Carte..overall it's good.. my parents were happy.

Though the staff (as usual) are courteous, smiling, helpful and very friendly with guests, the resort in particular needs a big upgrade as it looks like a run down place. The water ways are stinky, unclean, mosquito ridden - needs to be pumped with fresh water to address these issues. Food was very average. Travel desk was helpful but they were way too expensive than booking a can from outside - why such robbery on cabs. Airport cab was requested for and they said it costs 3K while I booked it online and it costed me 1.9K. This is not acceptable practice.

The resort is badly maintained. Not as per Club Mahindra standard's. Location also not good. Heard this resort is heading for closure. Better stay in Kumarakom lake resort or Heritage resort which is alongside of lake .

Superbly maintained rooms. A very biiiggg swimming pool. Boating service was arranged by resort at a decent price. Got good offers for spa and restaurant services. Only negative side to the resort is, each room is located besides a man made backwater like pool, which is looking very dirty. Except that the stay was very enjoyable

I have been to 3 other Club Mahindra properties and extremely happy about our stay and experience. I have to say Kumarakom was the worst property I have ever been of CM. To start with the room, the first room we got into was in poor condition compared to other CM room standards. The furniture and fixtures were partly broken. The horror was the sewage like smell and dirty water from the taps. The pond in front of our villa was stagnant and smelly. After complaining to the manager, our rooms were changed and got shifted to a slightly better room. The new room lacked wifi connectivity as it was far from reception. even a budget hotel provided wi-fi connectivity these days. Pros 1. Courteous staff and Manager 2. Good food. Suggestions: 1. Please provide WI-FI connectivity to all rooms 2. please do water treatment and water that flows across all villas…

Excellent location, very accommodating and friendly staff, good variety and quality of both local and intern-continental food, board games, TT table, carom, chess available. Evening family entertainment program organized. They even help in organizing outdoor adventure activities outside of the campus.

This property is terrible. Water is hard and salty and one can't even take bath. Resort is badly maintained and per the staff Club Mahindra is selling this off. So pls wait for a new property at Kumarakom.
