Waterscapes - this exotic backwater resort, on the shores of Vembanad Lake is located inside the Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary, which draws migratory birds from as far away as Siberia. The only resort in the destination located inside the bird sanctuary and is noted for its independent huts that stand on stilts and is a place teeming with mangrove vegetation. It offers its guests uninterrupted access to the backwater life of Kumarakom. It is also an interesting location for eco tourists who are interested in mangrove ecosystem, birds related ecosystem. The property is part of the original Kavanattinkara estate once owned by Alfred George Baker. It is also widely popular among the "honeymooners".

Great ambience and excellent hospitality. The Swimming pool, lawns and walkway are all very well maintained. Very friendly staff, this is as good as a premium 4 star facility. Food menu and varieties available is also exceptional.

It was an awesome experience. Superbly maintained property. They take extreme care about the visitors. The food was nice and well prepared. People are always ready to help the needs. Room was well kept. Our child also enjoyed it. This was our first trip with him which we will never forget.

Great experience from a government property. Excellent customer service from the staff, beautiful landscapes.Trekking inside the bird sanctuary was a different experience. Two days stay was worth it.Wish if they had a kid's park too inside the premises. Date of stay: May 2023

Well recommended, and must go place in kumarakom. Appreciate KTDC for their professional approach, with high quality service and well maintained property for a safe and happy tourist spot for family and couples. All staff are well focused to make the guest very comfortable and happy during their stay and Waterscapes KTDC. Staff ( ready to serve at your call at any time), cleaning and house keeping system, well maintained restaurant facilities, all deserve a big salute. Worth for the money. We really enjoyed. Experience was beyond words. Excellent property, well maintained and courteous staff. I can say that attention to detail has gone into the making of this place. The view from the restaurant is amazing. Especially on a rainy day. Would recommend this place and will go back again.

Neat and clean, serene place to be! Perfect for spending a good quality time with your family. The beds were comfortable, washrooms were hygienic and the Big LED Samsung Smart TV with awesome Wi-fi connectivity was something to be really amazed! To top it up, loved the concept of Maldivian layout of the entire area with almost all the facilities beautifully equipped with bi-cycles, swimming pool, electric buggies.

Nice place to take your family. It's full of greenary... You can do fishing, boating & Cycling... They also have very good and well maintained pool for Adults and kids separately... We have also enjoyed food (Buffet)....
