When our driver said that he has not heard of this property before and therefore needs the full address, I was a bit apprehensive whether I have booked the right hotel since I was with my entire family and had booked 4 rooms!!! But all my apprehensions disappeared as soon as we checked-in. Beautiful small property. My son jumped in the swimming pool overlooking the backwaters within 10 mins of checkin-in :).
Very good hospitality. Mattress quality good but showers definitely need an overhaul. A sumptuous breakfast spread. Dinner was very good and soothing. Overall a nice stay.

It's located at a very nice place. Enjoyed it a lot!! Very calm and pleasant location. Staffs are very helpful and attentive. We had wonderful time there with everyone of Goldfield team! Especially with Mr. Venkatesh and Mr. Senthil. I recommend this resort a lot for your vacation!! Pros : 1. Very nice and calm location and a treat for eyes out of busy world. We got lake facing suite. Very much liked staying there. 2. People at reception are very helpful. 3. Food was nice. Cons : 1. Found it a bit hard to reach hotel due to insufficient name boards. But the team was working at that time for it. May be it will be much better next time. 2. You need to reach out to reception for everything since the resort is interior. So if you go with own vehicle it will be better. 3. Suggest to carry your own bath products; Resort didn't provide any bath products for us.

Everything was good ( Room, Breakfast, Pool, Service). I would have rated 5/5 if they had maintained the garden properly. Kids play area was not in a good condition.

I stayed here with a few of my friends. We had booked two rooms and they charged rupees 6500 for a room that was close to the backwaters. Room did not live up to our expectations at all. Bathroom was extremely dirty and it was so difficult to use the bathroom. Price did not match the facilities provided here. Pictures of dining room is deceiving. They have no clean facilities to demand the price they are charging. Breakfast is included in the price, but they don't even provide it until after 9 am. Basically, they wait for people to leave before they prepare the breakfast, probably another tactic to save some money. Price of the food was outrageous. All prices are pretty much at par with Marriott, but the facilities are not even at a 2 star level. Service is not great. They charged us 50 rupees for a tea in the morning while breakfast was already included in our room rent and we didn't even have it since it wasn't ready even by 9 am. The only plus point about this place is the backwaters. But even that is not utilized properly. There is not good bench to sit and relax. I would not recommend this place at this rate. I would say, rupees 3000 per night would be a fair price for the facilities you would get from this place. If you are from abroad, definitely look for another place. You wouldn't be able to use the bathrooms here. It's that pathetic looking with dirty tiles and low quality fittings!

We booked two premium lake-view rooms for two nights directly through the reservations team located outside Kerala. While booking, we clearly requested lake-facing rooms and emphasized the importance of having rooms free of any fungus or similar issues. The resort itself is situated about 2 km from the main road, near the lake. There are approximately 5-7 parking spaces available, but I was fortunate to secure covered parking upon request. Ankit, from the staff, was helpful in providing all the information we needed.
Unfortunately, upon checking in, the quality of the rooms was very disappointing. The walls had significant fungus and damage, and only one of the rooms was actually lake-facing. The other rooms had been sold out to a group. This was especially disappointing for the kids, who were upset by the condition of the room. There is no WIFI in the rooms.
We had booked for two nights, but due to the poor room conditions, we inquired about checking out a night earlier. However, the staff informed us that this was not possible, as we had paid the full amount in advance and no refund would be issued. The room service offered limited food options, which were just okay. The Airtel DTH service had only a few channels.
The room itself consisted of a small bedroom, a toilet/shower, a living room, and a balcony. Both the bedroom and living room had significant wall damage and fungus. On the next day, we decided to check out by the evening, even though it meant losing a night's rent. It was worth it to stay in our own house rather than at this property.
The breakfast provided was ordinary and mainly catered to the group staying there. Overall, due to high tourist demand, room rates in Kumarakom seem to be inflated and do not justify the quality of service provided.

I stayed this Resort last night. I booked a suite room and the room is very pathetic condition. Bathroom is terrible, no cleaned rooms. I paid 5500/- for a night after a special discount but this place is not worth of paying 1500/-. Some how food is good but don't expect this all time. Don't visit the resort it's very bad property. Doves vacation company cheats you by giving you false promise.... They are terrible in their service. recently I got a voucher for 2D/3N and was told accomodation was free. Real Unprofessional and poor maintenance at Doves resort Kumarakom, Our family never ever experienced such a worst facility in their life time. The both rooms are not cleaned. No security at the entrance, no food quality. The other name of doves is unethical team, unprofessional management. They are just cheating people.
My humble request not to become club member of this Cheating team.
The swimming pool is so small just even you cant swimm in the pool. The entire resort is not secured, its like one big house. No gaming area, no proper party hall. Kitchen is so worst that they not cleaned in their life time.
Staff was so unprofessional. They dont know the concept of Resort including their management.

Exceptional treatment and Services Leisure Vacations Goldfield Lake Resort is great resort providing great stay with one of the excellent services to people. The rooms have very good view of vemband lake-view and you can see all variety boats on the lake. Bird watching is also good from resort. With food, it is full of taste and variety. Starting from breakfast to dinner and snacks, the chef can prepare north/south Indian and Kerela dishes as well that are amazing. After our check-in whatever we ordered, got freshly prepared and delicious.
The hotel staff also provides facilities for motorboat, speedboat and houseboats with tie-ups and we opted for motorboat ride and it was good to go for lake round for 1 hour where boat came for our pickup @ resort only as resort side boundary is vemband lake view. My suggestion is not to take more than an hour ride for motorboat/speed boat. For longer duration houseboat is better.
All the staff members are social and helpful and they go to great extend to make you feel at home. The services and hospitality are CLASS and Good Value for what you spend !
