beautiful home which was spacious and spotlessly clean. The breakfasts were superb and we eat there for 2 of our 3 evening meals. The food was excellent and very reasonably priced.Had a fantastic time at Mango, the family is lovely and Divias food was amazing the welcome was warm, the view of the canal was nice. Good breakfast. The hosts booked us a boat for a ride on the backwaters. It was perfect, we were alone on the boat. Important: you have to drive there to go to dinner, especiall
My ancestral home is just 15 Km away from this property. Sars Covid issues made us to look for an alternate accommodation starting 13 Nov 2020 till 18 Nov. My family of 5 stayed in two cozy rooms of Meenakshi. Property is worth for the price they are offering it, Owner and his family is too friendly and caring. Linen and the atmosphere was great. Overall, the stay was very pleasant . Would recommend the property for others who are seeking a cost effective stay in water front accommodation.
We had a lovely stay here and would certainly return. We were well looked after by Divani and Dillip in their beautiful home which was spacious and spotlessly clean. The breakfasts were superb and we eat there for 4 of our 5 evening meals. The food was excellent and very reasonably priced.
We stayed here for 7 nights, left our cases with the hosts and returned after three nights away. It’s a beautiful home, and a really lovely clean place to stay. The balcony rooms are fabulous, with an awesome view of the river from a spacious, comfortable balcony. The hosts couldn’t have been more helpful if they’d tried! They helped us with all sorts. The food was great, and the only danger was over-eating! I would definitely recommend staying here.
Very smart, modern and clean property. The hosts are extremely helpful with organising trips, travel or general advice. There are very spacious communal balconies with outdoor seating and tables, so you can watch the world pass by on the river. There is a tasty breakfast, with continental and Indian options. Portions are very generous. Recommended!
We had a room overlooking the riverbed. Very clean and facilities excellent. Divani and Dillip are so hospitable, they supplied great info regarding events and things to see close by. We dined there in the evening and food was very tasty and reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend this property to others.
Clean spacious room. Welcoming family. Good breakfast. A little disappointed with setting not as peaceful and relaxing as expected. Busy homestay a little hectic at times. Other than backwater trips nothing else to do. Beautiful early morning boat trip to see the water lillies definitely worth doing.
We stayed here for two nights and had a great time. The people in there were good and the rooms were clean. The food was also good and overall it was a nice place to stay. We are happy with their service
Clean rooms, great breakfast, and wonderful people. My wife and I stayed for four nights, and we really enjoyed our staying. If we had to go back to kumarakum one day, we would definitely stay there again. We felt at home as soon as we came in our first time. I felt like we were visiting friends.
We stayed only one night and regretted not to have more time here. The room was great - clean, spacious and with direct access to the wonderful balcony, directly overlooking the canal. We highly recommend having dinner in the house as it was the best food we have tried so far. Really amazing, that goes for the breakfast as well. The location is very qiet - no hunking or traffic noice. The host family is really helpful and friendly. They can also arrange for boat trips and massage. Compared to Allepey, I would definitely prefer Kumarakom for any type of backwater stay.
