I can go on about the boat ride in, the greeting, the sunset cruise, the amazing room with a shower open to the sky, the wonderful lake front restaurant. Just be assured it is wonderful. The grounds are beautiful.

Hotel set on side of lake on main canal so very humid. Beautifully set out with individual bungalows most having open air bathrooms. Not an issue as fully enclosed and partly roofed. Grounds well attended and eco friendly, employing three naturalists to look after site and inform and guide guests about birds and wild life. Food and service excellent with...

Stayed here for 1 night following overnight rice boat trip on the backwaters of Kerela. Arrived at reception and greeted by very welcoming staff. Had a slight wait for our room to be ready but no problem as given fresh pineapple juice to drink. Room was small duplex with beautiful outdoor shower area. Room very clean and comfortable with local...

Firstly you have to arrive and depart this resort by boat which adds a certain charm even before you start your stay. Arriving by boat isn't usually a problem as you've in all likelihood had a day or two on a house boat already and this is the end of your stay? The sheer charm of the resort can not...

Such a beautiful property that we had to return after five or six years. Wonderful and comfortable rooms. Very well received and seen off by the staff. The food was good and the service too in spite of being full. But there was nothing new. To a returning visitor there is sense of deja vu. Give me some surprise. Yes...

A very comfortable and beautiful place to unwind after a hectic and busy tour around SRI LANKA. The lodging is very rustic and pretty with a great outdoor shower. All cabins are around the canals that wander in and out of the property.

We stayed for one night only as part of a cultural tour of Kerala - I wish that we had booked for longer! The moment that you step off the boat you enter paradise. The grounds are simply stunning, the accommodation is excellent, the staff attentive & the food absolutely delicious. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. We will...

I fall short of words to describe our experience of the backwaters and Coconut Lagoon. Amazing property, breathtaking views, courteous and smiling staff, excellent service and everything you look for in a good holiday. If you have the money, its a must have on your bucket list of one of the most gorgeous resorts in India.

The hotel is the best I have stayed in in India - there are plenty of evaluations which explain why. I could only recommend it - very relaxing, good food, a clean and fully-functioning bathroom, and excellent, attentive but not intrusive staff. As a birdwatcher, I was originally drawn to the area to see the birds. The hotel employs very...
