Manager Lekha with her personal service made our daughter birthday special with Decorating room with Authentic Kerla style with leaves, and colorful flowers writing our daughter name on the bed.
Customizing cake with her name on top of it. Got us the 4 hours house boat trip with customized menu as we are vegetarian and my wife can not eat spicy food she made sure of all this.
In the cafeteria food is freshly prepared and you can feel it. That is why food does not fast as fast food restaurants where food quality is highly compromised.
Mr.Bhim our server was excellent with nothing but welcoming smile on his face all the time
Consider this and you will be highly pleased compare to going to Taj or other places. This is also 5 star place.
I love Taj group of hotels as we are world Teavlers from USA but I was glad we choose this.

On arrival we were greated with stunning views and a spacious, clean and luxurious resort. Set in a large area of beautiful gardens with large rooms a real feeling of space is achieved. Top end rooms, all the finishing touches and a bathroom big enough for a party of 10. Good food served throughout the day, easy to walk into town, you can feed the cow and chickens and the evening yoga is not to be missed.
Spa treatments are fabulous and staff highly trained and professional.
Tiny tip, if you like a glass of wine or a beer, take your own as Niraamaya has no licence.

This is a beautiful hotel, with fabulously landscaped gardens, right on the shore of Lake Vembanad. The location, spa and variety of mindfulness activities give the place an incredibly relaxing vibe - we could really switch off during our stay. We stayed in a bungalow with a small pool - the room was immaculately clean and the private garden was the perfect place to watch sunsets.
What really made our stay special though, were the staff. They are incredibly helpful and friendly - we felt really pampered. We had the warmest welcome and would like to thank them again for making our honeymoon stay so special!

We’re not exactly sure what to expect since it was a last minute change on our itinerary. Our home for the five nights we stayed was modern luxury. Our front yard overlooking the Arabian Sea was lined with coconut trees. It was everything we wished for prior to our tour. In addition, sunrises and sunsets put us in awe. Our morning and afternoon walk and swim were very relaxing. Definitely, not to be missed.
The highlight of our stay was having our staff. At first, we didn’t know what to do. Our butler, Maneesh, was very attentive to our needs. He always ready to make any suggestions and shared his knowledge appropriately. Our meals were always to look forward. Chef Francis, made every effort to make us feel comfortable with our meal. Each meal was prepared fresh, mostly Goan ingredients. Some were even inspired by different regions in India. Also, as Goan, he gave us excellent suggestions on navigating the neighborhood. Our housekeeper, Pushbender and his chief made our home spotless and refreshing with Frangipani touches. Just like any luxury property we had stayed, he turned over our room twice daily. We looked forward to his bedtime notes and sweets to keep us tucked at night.
We met Dhanraj at the airport on our arrival. He too was very helpful in planning activities for us. We were hoping to get a good massage. Biblo, our therapist was one of the best we had. We did kept a little longer.
Our staff went out of their way to make V-Day memorable. We can’t thank them enough.

superb resort property located in Kumarakom town of kottayam district . it’s areally exclusive resort with very well managed property and excellent staff with all the precautions taken towards social distancing and cleanliness under the prevailing pandemic conditions . it’s a 2 hr ride from cochin airport. the villas we had booked had a spacious balcony overlooking the vembanad lake which is india’s second largest . the rooms are extremely clean and spacious with very good lighting and air conditioning systems
the highlight of the stay was the made to order fish wrapped banana leaves in its authentic local cuisine format . with personal details and interaction with the chef. the breakfast is also very good with a good spread and unlimited in nature . overall would definitely recommend this place

It starts with the welcome where as soon as you enter the property you are greeted with warm welcome.
Lobby is grand with great lake view and the swing placed just adds that finesse.
All staff greet you with smile. We were told that they have limited rooms, so it never feels crowded.
Lawns and green vegetation was very maintained.
Rooms are huge with all amenities. Though layout is traditional I guess to go with the setup. So donot expect modern room layouts with everything digital but everything is functional. Two Bathrobes already in room, so thoughtful...
You get full view of lake from bed itself and you wake upto beautiful sound of birds . ..
I can't finish before I mention the restaurant, everything was so fresh and delicious and again staff is very courteous.. very smartly dressed and polite .
Please be patient a little as it will take sometime to prepare, but it will be so worth the wait. We are vegetarians, so can't comment on seafood.....however I am sure even that will be delicious.
Spa experience was also nice and it is very reasonable considering the setup....

Our room was spacious and we have a nice view of the greenery surrounding the resort. The warmth and receptiveness of the hotel staff are great, from the check-in desk to the restaurant staff. The resort has twice a day complimentary yoga/breathing sessions, which is great if you looking for a short respite from your day-time activities or before you begin your day. You can also add on private classes with the instructor (with a fee) as he is usually pretty flexible with the time as he teaches at the resort full-time. The food at the restaurant also has a good selection of both local and international cuisine, and we enjoyed our meals there.

The hotel has done a remarkable job to ensure safe protocols during the corona virus pandemic.From arrival ,to check-in,to departure all the procedures are in place and have put safety and good hygiene at a premium. My young daughter was treated like a princess and enjoyed every minute. This is without a doubt the best resort we have ever stayed at by a long way. The villas are outstanding and the service provided by the staff is first class. Niraamaya Kumarakom is expensive however it is one of those few resorts that actually exceeds your expectations. Overall, we had a nice experience. The grounds are scenic and very well-maintained with attention to landscaping as well as aggressive mosquito treatment (I was pleasantly surprised with almost no need for bug spray). The pool is lovely and a great place to hang out. I enjoyed a massage at the spa. The individual pool with your room is more of a plunge pool than actual swimming, but we enjoyed that. The staff are kind and attentive. We used the laundry service which was pricey but good. They were sweet to our small child and let her feed the geese and fish when they were doing evening feedings. There were a few small cultural programs which was nice.
The main drawback is their dining. They only have 1 restaurant, and while the outdoor tables have a nice view of the pool, the indoor portion is dark with freezing AC and feels like a dining hall. The food is good, but it is a limited menu with slow staff service. It is worth noting is that at all of their resorts (we stayed at their Thekkady location later), they do not provide any alcohol. If you bring your own, you are only allowed to consume it in your room. Aside from breakfast, we ate all meals out at other nearby resorts.
If you are looking for a very serene experience, this is definitely a good place. I wouldn't recommend it if you're looking for a more classic resort set up with lively activities, multiple dining options, bar, social scene, kids' events, etc.

Niraamaya - Kumarakom is comparatively a very new property of the Niraamaya chain of resorts. We visited the Kumarakom property during the last week of April 2022. The first thing that left us impressed was the location and the courteous staff. We loved the location; it is located on the banks of the Vembanad lake which lends the property a very serene aura.
The rooms and amenities are very good in terms of space, service, and quality. We booked a variety of ayurvedic spa services at the property, and it was worth every penny! The experience left us feeling relaxed and rejuvenated at the same time!
We would specially love to mention the restaurant staff, specially Nithya and the Restaurant Manager at that point of time who left no stone unturned with our meal requests and customizations. We would also give a special mention to our resort-appointed chauffer from Kumarakom to Kovalam. He ensured that our cab was at the right temperature, had a wonderful list of songs curated which he played all along our journey and for his fantastic driving and conversational skills. Not once did we feel the need to take a break before we reached our destination. Overall, the courteousness of the entire staff was excellent!
Based on our experience, we are sure that as the property matures and as their gardens and facilities grow to reach their full potential, this property of Niraamaya's will be one of the most appreciated ones at Kumarakom and we wish them all the best! Look forward to return to it!
