Located right in the heart of Cerbere, La Dorade is a special hotel/restaurant that is run by special people, Yves and Ana! This husband/wife team makes you feel instantly at home, and helps you with anything you might need. While the hotel itself definitely "ain't" 5-star, who cares when it is spotlessly clean and offers you a spectacular view of... More

I arrived in Cerbere after a week cycling in the Pyrenees and got a room without any problem. Yves was very welcoming and made sure my bike was safely stored and even helped out with my arrangements for it to be collected by a delivery company. A charming hotel in a great little town.

Stayed here one night on the way from Barcelona to Argeles-sur-Mer. There were no connecting trains so we arrived unexpectedly, but were welcomed and accommodated with ease and charm, no fuss. What could have been a stressful experience was serene and romantic. The hotel's manager is a gentle and thoughtful host, treating us to a local aperitif on hearing we... More

My family and I stayed here for 2 nights, we were greeted by Yves who made us feel very welcome throughout our short stay. The hotel itself is traditional and charming if a little dated (however I thought this just added to its charm). The three of us shared a large bedroom with a beautiful view of the waterfront. We had... More

The food is king here .. fresh seafood well prepared according to traditional Catalan recipes. And you could not find a better place to sit and partake of the products of the local vineyards, but at some point you have to get up and go upstairs and the lack of air conditioning can be rough in a summer as hot... My wife and I spent 6 days here having completed the Raid Pyraneen route. We had a very enjoyable time watching the world go by. The owners and staff made us feel very welcome, it was like we were part of the family. The restaurant is also very good and it's just across the road from the Mediterranean. Overall a... More

We arrived here after a bit of a cycle ride, from the other, colder side of France. The welcome and continued friendliness of the staff, especially Evé was out of this world. The service, atmosphere and food where exceptional. The accommodation, albeit a brief few hours in bed, was more than adequate, and I look forward to returning again, after... More

We were travelling along coast to Spain and decided to stop in this charming village. We chose this hotel because of its location overlooking the bay and we got a sea view room. Quaint room and although no air conditioning, the fan was sufficient and nice sea breeze through the windows. Food was simple but delicious and nice atmosphere in... More

On a walking trip from France to Spain we decided to say the night at Dorade in the lovely town of Cerbere. The hotel and restaurant are completely charming, local and welcoming. Yves, family and colleagues made us feel like we were at home. A lovely room with a balcony looking over the sea, an extensive menu of home-cooked local... More

“We were a group of cyclists so we were in the annex which is on a back street about 200 metres from the main hotel - it was perfect for us. Quiet, very reasonably priced etc. The main hotel has rooms too - not sure how quiet these would be as they look out over the bay, also not sure of the facilities in the main hotel”
