I have nothing to add that other reviewers haven't mentioned but I feel this kip deserves to be taken down a peg or two. I agree with others that the room rate is very cheap but we paid 25,000 for a room vs 20,000 on the understanding that it would not be as small as the cheaper room. I cannot...

not a hostel. it is a hotel. great price 25,000 for a double. safe, secure, across the street from the bus station. we slept well but it was definitely cold. the noise carries in the hallways and yes our fellow travellers were oblivious to the idea of quiet. that's why we travel with earplugs. it did the job for an...

How this place gets any reviews above 1 or 2 stars is beyond me! The two positives: The price as it's really is cheap - 25,000 COP for a double. Location. Right next to the bus station. The negatives: Everything else!! Including (but not limited too), our bathroom was dirty (had hairs in it). Pillow cases had staines on them....

I didn't have the most comfortable stay at this hotel. I felt a bit like someone might burst into my room at any minute throughout the night, the sound of men walking around the corridors talking loudly at night was a little unsettling but maybe just because I was on my own and Ipiales isn't a particularly nice town. The...

Cheap and safe place in Ipiales which is perfect. The town itself doesn´t have a lot to offer. The nearest attraction is El Santuario de Las Lajas. Great place to stay before or after border crossing as this can sometimes be a long process. Hot shower, clean room, working tv and good bed. Little bit noisy and the staff aren´t...

Opposite the terminal, this place is a good stay if you´re just stopping over and want to see the Church. The staff were friendly, the place was clean with hot water, it was very cheap (20,000 per person for a twin room) and you get free towels and soap (though they had run out of towels for us). There is...

Like many other travellers who stop by this hotel, we arrived around 10pm with the intention of crossing the border into Ecuador the following morning. The hotel has plently of space, is clean and is very cheap. Room had an en-suite with hot shower, TV, double bed and closet. A good cheap option for a stop over.

My boyfriend and I arrived to the bus terminal around midnight and it was nearly deserted. We decided to stay in a hotel for the night and take a bus in the morning. This hotel is right across the street and at 25,000 COP or 12.50 USD it's a great option if you want a cheap bed for the night....

Good option if arriving late at night as it is right opposite the bus station. Basic hotel but extremely cheap and good location Check out at 12pm means that you can go visit the Catherdral in the morning before collecting your bags for onward journey.

As many other travellers, we arrived from Cali early morning. Our plan was to check out Las Lajas and spend one night in Ipiales before crossing the border. We read many reviews about hotels in Ipiales and Metropole seemed to be the best one. Hotel is very simple, as we are tall people we were afraid of small beds here,...
