The hotel was fine, spaceous clean rooms, overlooking the sea with good views of the coast and a very friendly and helpful receptionist. The only minor inconvenience was that breakfast was served in another hotel across the street. I would certainly stay there again.

This is the place to visit in Baracoa if you want a drink, internet cards and (if I remember correctly) wifi. The under-cover ground-floor outdoor bar looks out over the Atlantic and you don't need to join the long queues at other places to buy an internet card, or pay more than the going rate (2 CUC per card for...

Upon arrival in Baracoa, we found La Rusa in bad disrepair. No hot water, ac not working, and plumbing in semi working order. After one night they transferred us to another hotel, and permantly closed the hotel. The staff was fantastic, friendly, honest, and caring. Nelson, in particular was wonderful the new hotel was very nice, and we were well...

We arrived in Baracoa in the middle of a very stormy afternoon and as we did not have an arranged accomodation I was very happy to get a room in this hotel. It is some 35 CUC breakfast included. Hotel itself is named after a Russian lady who used to run it decades ago. There is one room on the...

This hotel is awful... the room is really hold, the room small and the windows let the noise come in well the light in early morning so you cannot sleep. People around the hotel try tp ask you money for taking care your car...but they know all the staff in the hotel and it is like they try to push...

I stayed for 6 days and only had a hot water shower 1 day. If you stay on an ocean side room, when it rains, it will come into your room. The staff are excellent, the management indifferent. When I wrote to Cubaism, they indicated it would take 3 to 6 months to resolve. In the day of the internet,...
