I stayed at La Terraza with my girlfriend for a couple of days. Very nice casa. Our room had direct access to the roof top, from where you can overlook the town. Rooms very clean and spacious. And great hospitality. One night we had dinner: don´t miss it. If you stay there: bring pencils as Rafael is a school inspector...

We stayed at La Terraza November 17 to 19, and have only good things to say about this excellent Casa Particular. The rooms were good and cleaned. The food was terrific, and the view from the rooftop was formidable. Adis and Rafael was service-minded, friendly and helpful in every respect. We can only highly recommend this lovely place that is...

I booked a stay ad Rafael and Adis on a host suggestion and I couldn't have made a better choice... Adis and Rafael are very friendly and helpful hosts, gave me great suggestions and were available at any time. I got a huge room all for myself, could find the small light and the aircon on when I was coming...

the casa is at the center of the town, and from the roof top (where the breakfasts and dinners are) the view is just amazing. The people of the house are great and do whatever they can to make you feel comfortable, to take care of all your needs, and to advise on what to see around the town (specially...

We had booked two nights at Casa La Terraza, but we had a last minute change of travel plans and we needed to get to Baracoa earlier. Rafael and Adis were very accommodating and organised for us to stay at their sistre-in-law's house El Balcon for the extra first night. They also suggested we could stay there for our whole stay...

This was an exceptional casa particular in our medium price range. The location was ideal, just round the corner from the main street for cafes and music venues, but is a quiet residential street where folk sit on their verandas and watch the world go by. All rooms [perhaps 3 in all] are upstairs; two are off a pleasant balcony...

Our Baracoa homestay (the Terraza de Baracoa at 29 Calle Felix Ruene) was quite adequate for a couple of nights – comfortable though not large. The owners, Rafael and Adis are middle-class Cubans who for some reason are able to own another guesthouse in town. The Terraza, however, is said to be the better of the two. It has two...

We and our three kids spent four nights in Baracoa in Rafael's and Adis's casa and we had a wonderful time. The two rooms on the first floor are very nice and big. The owners and their staff were extremely friendly and prepared excellent breakfasts and dinners for us. They also helped us very much in organising our excursions. The...

My friend and I spent a wonderful 2 nights in this casa. The room was very spacious with a great location close to the centre of Baracoa. The casa also has a nice roof terrace with a view over the city. We were lucky enough to be served breakfast and dinner at Rafael Navarro by the lovely Jessica, who was...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The casa is centrally located within walking distance to the cultural and commercial centers and only 500 meters from the Cathedral and Casa de la Trova. Although centrally located, the casa sits in a small side street offering a tranquil atmosphere away from any city noise. The owners are both professors; Rafael a Geography professor and wife Adis an English and Computer Technology professor. Rafael, Adis and staff take pride in making every minute of your stay a memorable and warm experience. We offer two totally independent and spacious rooms. Both rooms have two beds each with extra space to accommodate more than two guests each. We offer total privacy since both rooms are located on the second floor. The rooms have balcony/terrace with rocking chairs, flower garden and healing plants. From the third floor terrace you will enjoy 360° views of the ocean, the mountains, as well as views of the city's roof tops. While relaxing on the terrace, you will enjoy the fresh breeze and the view of the ocean and the mountains; at night you can enjoy having a drink while gazing at the beautiful stars display. Each room offers its own private full bathroom with hot water 24 hours a day. Linens and towels are changed daily unless you order otherwise. There is a library with book exchange in different languages. Each room is equipped with air conditioning. We offer various other services like laundry services, bicycle rentals, schedule tours, salsa dance classes, Spanish classes, and Cuban cuisine classes (our specialties are fish in coconut milk and other local dishes). Adis is an expert in preparing local and traditional foods. The main house is occupied by Rafael and Adis. ... more   less
