Three of us visited there for a day. $8.50 for adults, senior discounts Water was very clean and many pools, at least 8. Pools were of different temperatures. Nice showers and changing rooms, basket to keep your supplies and lockers available. We had a great time.

If you are going to do this as a day trip rather than a night stay my advice would be to take the local bus from Quito which is much cheaper than booking it through a tour company. I thought is was ok. There were 3 large pools and 3 of 4 smaller pools but some of the pools were...

Beautiful hotel, lovely surroundings, friendly staff, excellent restaurant. Although the hotel is more expensive than average for Ecuador, the experience of sitting in hot springs right outside your front door cannot be matched. You also receive a 15% discount at the spa for all treatments. Highly recommended, extremely relaxing.

This is a very nice place with five warm water swimming pools and the water rich by minerals. They have a spa and we had mud wrap and foot massage. So feel like a new born. So strictly recommend. You will enjoy it.

The title of my review just about says it all. This spa hotel is more expensive than average hotels in Ecuador but is well worth it especially if you have been hiking or visiting the jungle. Soaking in the outdoor hot spring bath just outside our room was recuperative and relaxing. There are public baths across the street but the...

Beautiful grounds and landscaping. Friendly & helpful staff. Thermal soaking pools all along the boardwalks in front of most rooms. Rooms are very nice. Opted for a massage at the Spa and was well treated. A little bit of language problems for me, but always solved quickly by an English speaking employee nearby. Seemed to be a very popular vacation/get-away...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Termas de Papallacta is a Hot Springs SPA, Resort & Convention Center nestled in a majestic valley of the high Andes only 45 minutes driving distance, 31 miles (50 kilometers) from the new Quito Airport. We are located at Km 65 on the way to Baeza following the Interoceanic road. Our resort is on the "Cinnamon Trail", the same route that the Spanish conquistador Francisco de Orellana took in 1542 when he crossed the Andean mountain range searching for gold and other treasures, and which unexpectedly led him to discover the Amazon River. Papallacta is the doorway to the Ecuadorian Amazon region, despite being in the Ecuadorian Highlands at an altitude of 10.827 feet (3.300 meters) above sea level and of an average daytime temperature of 14°C (57°F). ... more   less
