The Villa la Palagina, just outside of Figline Valdarno, is a true resort hotel occupying a villa inhabited since the sixteenth century by noble Florentine families. Our window provided unforgettable views of the vineyards, olive trees, lovely villas, and rolling hills that make Tuscany so incredibly beautiful. We were fortunate to look out over the fountain and the beautiful pool...

Villa La Palagina is a restored villa in Figline Valdarno south of Florence. It is sited so that there are sweeping and beautiful views of the countryside in all directions. The rooms are furnished with old furniture, but we found our bed to be modern and very comfortable. The staff were helpful, warm and courteous. The manager, Eric, has clearly...

We spent 10 days at the La Palagina as part of a month long holiday in Italy and France. It did not take long to realise that we had had found a Hotel that combined peace and quiet with excellent service, great food and a relaxing environment. My boyfriend and I stayed here for four nights in mid September, after the hotel we booked had a last-minute electricity failure. The only rooms available at such short notice were a standard, and a junior suite. We went for the suite, thinking we were in need of a bit of luxury - unfortunately, it wasn't exactly luxurious. The room...

The villa is elegant and unhurried. The views around are Tuscany as you imagine it in your dreams. The people are wonderfully warm and happy (and very chatty!). We had gorgeous weather and enjoyed a lovely mix of Florence (two days), Siena (such a contrast) and days relaxing by the pools and walking the surrounding area. We felt very privileged...

This hotel is is located on a hillside with spectacular views of the Tuscan valley particularly from the poolside. The hotel's location makes it a perfect location for travelling around the Chianti area. The staff were helpful and friendly and the food at the hotel's only restaurant was good but rather limited in variety. The hotel is a converted villa...

We just came back from a two weeks journey to the beautiful Toscane and stayed 6 nights in Villa Palagina. I think I will stay here next time 14 days. The atmosphere is soooo relaxed and I liked the perfect mixture of quests here: couples with children, couples without children, young couples, old couples. They were all coming to this...

We stayed at La Palagina for two days as part of a 9-day tour of Tuscany. This is an old villa that has been recycled as a resort hotel and restaurant. A key word here is 'old' - the rooms are comfortable (we never had to turn on the AC - just opened the windows), with a nice reading room,...
