Great hotel wonderful staff. Rooms are a little outdated for my style but still very very clean and comfortable with a kitchenette. Food was a little pricey and the restaurant can get quite noisy when filled to capacity. it was great to have several shops and restaurants around t

We stayed at the hotel after years of staying in slopeside condos. Although the hotel was very nice and clean, the elevator ride was always crowded and the lobby was very busy. we prefer to stay in a condo as opposed to a hotel when at Sugarloaf.

Thanks for your feedback; the hotel is one of our most popular lodging options, and can get busy during winter holiday weeks and busy weekends. Next time you come, let us know and we'll help you find a condo or private home that offers more peace and quiet.

My wife and I spent a weekend at Sugarloaf Mountain Hotel with another couple who had never been to the western Maine mountains, let alone the state of Maine. I suspect that the hotel's atmosphere brings a sort of nostalgia to patrons who have stayed here over the years, but we f

Attended a wedding at Sugarloaf the last weekend of September 2018. It was just a stunning location and the views were amazing. The ceremony was beautifully done on The Beach and the reception was held in The King Pine Room. The food was great and the staff were just lovely, Baro

Every year a couple hundred bikers stay at the loaf for our annual camp sunshine ride. As always they were well accommodating. The rooms are spacious and clean. This is one of our favorite charity rides. Sugar loaf and the valley are beautiful in the summer and winter. They w

how old do you have to be to check in
I think it might depend on the number in the party and how many "adults" are to be in the room. If the room is to be shared among a mixed group of ages, that is some below and some above 21, then it may be possible for the first arriving party to check in even if the age of the first arrival isn't 21 years. Again, as Simone D suggests, call the reservations desk for assistance.

We are thinking about reserving your hotel for Thaksgiving Week Nov 19 to 26. Do you usually have snow at that time? We dont ski but would just like to see it or do some tubing.
Thanksgiving is usually JUST at the start of the season. Not a lot of slopes open, usually just a few that they have made snow on. Of course it varies from year to year but the mountain aims to be open by then. As for Tubing I don't think the do that these days but check with the ski area for activities.

Is there a pool? (Not hot tub)?
The hotel has a huge outdoor hot tub. If you want a cool water pool for water aerobics or swimming laps you would need to go to the Sugarloaf Fitness Center. Some of the room packages may include a pass to the fitness center. Others do not. I think the day rate is around $12/adult
