My husband and I and his parents stayed here this weekend and it was one of the most beautiful Bed & Breakfasts we have stayed in! Super clean and tidy, and downright gorgeous. They have practical things all around the rooms such as Q-tips, ice cold water bottles in the room with glasses. Beds were really comfortable! The owners were friendly! (They make the BEST Tea!!) Breakfast was delicious, they made a frittata and bacon, with a fruit salad to start and fresh rhubarb muffins! I 100% recommend this B&B and we will definitely stay here again when coming to Bridgewater!
This is certainly the best place to stay in Bridgewater. The two front rooms look out onto the beautiful Lahave River. The two front rooms have attached baths. The small room in the back of the house is where I usually stay. The bath for the small room is located in the hall, but it goes with the room, and you do not have to share it with anyone (plus it has a whirlpool bath). The rooms are clean, comfortable and pleasantly decorated. Breakfast is very good, but you do not have a choice on what is served. I highly recommend River Reflections. It is a very pleasant place to stay, and a good value as well.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time spent at the River Reflections B&B during our first visit to Nova Scotia. Al and Suzanne were such welcoming, friendly, and wonderful hosts that we didn't want to leave. We were given the Garber room which was bright, spacious, clean and comfortable....and we had an ensuite bathroom which was much the same. Our room was at the front of the house so there was some traffic noise during the night and in the early mornings....but there are also rooms located at the back of the house if you are a light sleeper. The hosts prepared an amazing, picturesque and varied breakfast every morning which was such a wonderful start to each of our days -- I just wish I had taken some pictures bcs each day breakfast was presented like a work of art! The overall location of this B&B was fantastic for exploring the nearby areas & towns of Nova Scotia's South Shore. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would return in a heartbeat!…
I was referred by my brother who has stayed here many times. Al was a very gracious host who treated me like a long lost friend. His residence was beautiful and is right beside the Lahave River. I arrived at night while it was raining and found the house immediately. It was well signed which I very much appreciated. I was very tired and Al recognized this provided me with a bottle of water and showed me to the Garber Room. A king sized bed awaited me and I had a great night’s sleep. Breakfast was exactly as was posted on the chalkboard menu the night before. Outstanding food and great service. This was repeated the next night and morning. Exceptional stay. Thanks, Al.
We had a wonderful time while we stayed in Bridgewater visiting relatives & old friends. We are from Ontario. Our time at the B&B couldn't have been better !! We stayed for 7 nights & felt right at home. The house itself was always clean & has so much character. Al & Suzanne were excellent hosts - we had some interesting conversations & Al had some excellent stories to tell; our breakfasts were plentiful & we never left hungry - I myself am not a breakfast eater but after trying the amazing fruit cups, I had one everyday; coffee refills were in our cups before even asking. My husband enjoyed the food so much that I even asked for a recipe from them !! Our room was lovely with an ensuite bathroom (with a huge shower) & balcony overlooking the Lehave River We had free wifi so I could keep in touch with our children & friends back in Ontario & local news. This was my first stay at a B&B and it was so much better than I expected. We would highly recommend River Reflections to travellers whether staying one night or several. Thank you Al & Suzanne for your hospitality ! Nancy & Wayne Rogers Belle River, ON…
We had to wonder how much Suzanne and Al really wanted to be in the B&B business. The house was nice and our room was large. The breakfast was good. Our hosts did not really go out of their way to make it a good experience and that is what made us wonder how much they wanted to be in the B&B business. Bridgewater is not a tourist town and this is likely the only B&B and it is decent. We were surprised that our room was not serviced or the bed made between the first and second night.
My husband and I recently had the good fortune to find River Relections BnB in Bridgewater NS. It was fabulous. We were warmly greeted by Al and Suzanne. We stayed in the Garber Room with king bed and chaise lounge looking out to the river. I didn't want to leave! The room was immaculate, breakfast was wholesome, hearty and delightfully presented. Plenty of good coffee. We were looking for an alternative to the busyness of touristy areas. The neighbourhood was quiet and friendly when I went for my morning walk. Highly recommend! We will definitely stay again if we are so lucky to visit the area again.
We spent two nights at River Reflections in late September. We were delighted with every detail....very friendly, welcoming hosts Al and Suzanne, a lovely room with beautiful décor, and then there was breakfast! Exquisitely prepared and tastefully served!
Suzanne and Al were wonderful hosts and the accommodation in the Garber Room was excellent. Enjoyed our two night stay. Breakfasts were great and beautifully presented! A pleasant experience! The B and B is well located for day trips to Lunenburg, Blue Rock, and Mahone Bay!
Centrally located this B&B is within walking distance to restaurants and pubs. The rooms were very comfortable, clean and tastefully decorated. Al and Suzanne were very accommodating and served an excellent breakfast. Would highly recommend this B&B.
