Maria is rude and disappointed me At first it looked like a nice and friendly hostel run by the elderly lady Maria. However, the next morning I mentioned her the pit in mattress, she turned into a different and rude person. Maria's first reaction; (With an angry voice) 1. You are the first to complain about this. 2. Maybe you...

We stayed here 3 nights in a double room, really happy price very fair for the quality of the room. Comfortable double bed and 2 bunks so plenty of space our stuff. Great clean bathroom with good pressure and hot water. We paid for breakfast $6000 fruits, eggs - only had scrambled and they were delicious, bread and coffee Nice...

Villa de Leyva isn't a place to spend a lot of time, but it has a pleasant small-town feel that makes is worth at least a short visit. This hostel is only a couple of blocks from the bus station so it's easily accessed. It's also only a couple more blocks on to the main square - an amazingly big,...

Rana is a really nice hostel with a calm atmosphere. Not far away from the main square and the terminal. The Staff speaks Spanish and also English. The breakfast was not included but excellent! We had not much time. Otherwise we would have stayed longer here!

The place is close to the plaza mayor and you can reach everything easily. It's not verry quiet and doesn't do room service( at least not in the 3 nights we stayed). But thats ok seen as it's cheep. They offer brakfast for 6000 pesos but we never ate here.

I would not recommend this hostel at all. There was no hot water for our private shower, only when we complained was it turned on. breakfast was very poor. Dried fruit and no butter for the toast. When we asked for some butter we were charged extra. We provided our own jam as her jam was awful. The room was...

I spent three nights in a dormitory in this hostel, which seems comfortable and clean at the first glance. But in the third night, I was biten by hundreds of some insects, so that it was impossible to sleep. I guess those were bedbugs, because my mosquito repellent did not work and after the first night the lady owner asked...

Just spent 3 night's in glorious Villa de Leyva at this great little hostel. Very peaceful, clean, friendly, perfect location 2 blocks from Plaza Mayor. Operated by a local lady, we received a cheerful welcome after booking thru a website. Great value and we enjoyed out stay very much.

I came to Villa de Leyva on the recommendation of a Colombian friend, it is a beautiful little town, with plenty going on, lots to see and do. I stayed at Hostel Rana as it seemed to have good recommendations and a high rating, It is a quaint beautiful place, has been refurbished rather well and is not over populated,...
