We stayed here for our final two nights in Sardinia, having spent a week doing lots of driving around the island (including stops in Stintino, Alghero, La Maddalena and Porto Cervo), so the relaxed ambience of this hotel was just what was needed. The staff were lovely and the cabin rooms were great with lots of natural light and amenities...

We stayed here for three nights recently. -- Location: The hotel is quite secluded and is not ideal for those looking for the convenience of a town, but it took us only half an hour to reach the coast. Olbia airport is also not far away. -- Room: Semi-detached cabin on the slopes, cleverly designed to make you think that...

We spent our honeymoon at Aldiola and were more than happy with the experience. We were welcomed warmly and with a cute little surprise in our hotel room to celebrate our wedding. The staff (at reception, during breakfast, dinner and allday long) were very polite, friendly, helpful and always had a smile on their faces. The hotel lies within a...

Having spent 4 nights in Olbia, we drove to Aldiola Country Resort for the final 5 nights of our stay in Sardinia. And we weren't disappointed. It really is a beautiful place. The views are outstanding, the lake is beautiful and we had perfect weather which made it even better. However, the place wasn't without its faults. The room itself...

Although the resort is rather out of the way, that's why I picked it! You definitely need a car to stay here. My boyfriend and I had 4 nights here and we wish it had been longer as we really loved it. We were welcomed at 11:30pm with a drink of our choice by a lovely receptionist. Our room was...

We have just returned from a weeks' stay at the Aldiola Country Resort and we had a very pleasant time. The staff were all very personable and friendly, we received a warm welcome every morning for breakfast and they were happy to give us information on where to visit in the local area. Booking online and subsequent check in and...

If you are looking for a rural retreat in a stunning setting then this could be the place for you. The hotel is very remote overlooking the lake of Liscia. It is well signposted from the surrounding roads so finding it should not be too much of a challenge. The views from the pool area across the lake are really...

Hotel very pleasant and the staff are generally kind and helpful. The pool area is very tranquil and not crowded. Our main disappointment was the food and the dinning room. The first night was average and we decided to give them the benefit of the doubt. Second night was worse. My starter, "focaccia with sautéed onion" was a slab of...

If you're after a quiet and serene retreat in an idyllic part of Sardinia off the beaten track, this is the place for you. The Aldiola Country Resort is small with only 20 or so rooms in semi-detached chalets, and best suited for couples who want to escape the rat race. If you want peace, tranquillity and privacy the chalets...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The charming Aldiola Country Resort is surrounded by centuries-old trees, and located on the hills overlooking the Liscia Lake, close to the Sardinian Emerald Coast. The panoramic swimming pool and the various shady spots offer moments of total relaxation. The architectural features of the Gallura region are reflected in the lay-out of the hotel rooms. Each room offers spectacular views of the lake. Furnishings are in the authentic Sardinian style. Particular care has been paid to the choice of wood and ironworks for the furniture and fixtures, textiles and ceramics, all crafted by the finest Sardinian artisans. Both the restaurant and the rooms are set among the local shrub and flowers, carefully trimmed and illuminated at night to create a beautiful atmosphere. The Aldiola restaurant offers the best choice of regional and international cuisine, with 2 types of menu that change daily. The finest traditional dishes are enhanced by local ingredients and flavours. The house wine, from the family vineyard, is a fine, fresh red wine. The restaurant also stocks the best known Sardinian labels. The surrounding area is rich in extraordinary sites, both natural and archaeological. A short distance away, on the shores of the lake, are numerous 1000-year-old olive groves and amazing granite rocks. You can also admire monuments of the Nuragic age. Aldiola Country Resort is also the ideal starting point for nature walks and more challenging trekking excursions. ... more   less
