The bar is great as the bar tender. We got the double room on the last floor, a roof floor wituout chance to look ouside. The bathroom was new and very clean, not many soap available. The hotel is at the center of melide only few steps from the main church and doesn't have closing time

We arrived after a day of walking the Camino in pouring rain and although the rooms were small, they were more than adequate. There was a bar downstairs with more than generous bar staff who happily poured large drinks for us thirsty travellers. We were travelling in a group and although the rooftop bar looked inviting the rain prevented us...

Very nice hotel overall, very clean, but very noisy. We got in early afternoon and noticed the noise from the bar but thought nothing of it. Thinking it was a pilgrims bar it would close early, but it did not. The noise went on into the late hours of the night and the room let the noise in. If you...

The receptionist was friendly in this hotel. There was a mistake with our room booking and he was very kind as he fixed it. We were left waiting a while and a complementary drink would have been a nice touch. My friend couldn't sleep because of many many dogs barking and howling during the night. Also we were on the...

We would not choose to stay here again. I am not sure whether we just had a bad room but our room was awful. It had double doors onto a 'balcony' area that was being used as a storage area for sun umbrellas etc and in front of the balcony was draped a large piece of tarpaulin, so no natural...

Very attentive and helpful desk clerk showed us his available room and it was very nice. We explored Melide, enjoyed their famous pulpo (but grilled octopus) and retired to our patio for a nice sunset. Nice two-level restaurant plus a bar area makes this a real hotel and a very nice break from the hippie albergues and the like. Cost...

We stayed here as part of our Camino walking trip and were pleased with the very friendly welcome. We had no problem switching the evening meal to a late lunch and the food (vegetarian) was excellent. As others have pointed out, the rooms are very small and we might not have been so positive if we'd had to dry off...

After reading some of the review we were a little worried about this hotel. However apart from having no lift (and therefore having to carry suitcases up and down the stairs) we had a good stay here. Our room was at the back of the building overlooking gardens and was quite quiet. The room although small was perfectly fine. The...

We stayed in Chiquitin along the Camino de Santiago and the rooms were so small, it was hard for two people to walk around in. There was also no laundry facilities, which are quite important when you are walking the camino. Although they did point us to an albergue nearby which had coin operated washers and dryers. The church near...

On the Camino so really just a place to put your head down for the night. Melide is not the best place on the Camino and the hotel does little to compliment it. Very small room with no place to put your case but can't be faulted for cleanliness. OK breakfast and good friendly staff.
