Having watched the reviews for some weeks before travelling, I was really unsure as to how the holiday would go at the Memento! Then upon arrival we were sent off to the Ionian Princess in Acharavi - which was dreadful.

After 1 night we returned to the Memento & were booked into room 249 which was one of the nicest rooms we have had at any resort anywhere in the world, so a very good start.

The staff we had dealings with were very professional & courteous, from the front office Kostas & Erato were brilliant, helpful & genuine & they each bought us a gift on departure, which was not necessary but very much appreciated.

I'm afraid I do not recognise any of the negative comments on here about them, they were great & not deserving of the small minded comments made by others.

Flori our Romanian cleaner was really nice & very good at her job. Everything was kept to a very good standard of cleanliness. Again negative comments about cleanliness don't seem valid or warranted from my point of view.

Restaurant staff were efficient & polite & did a good job under obvious pressure most the time from cleaning tables off & relaying to fetching things for people who didn't have or couldn't find something in particular. Again negative comments about them is a bit unfair, I didn't see them being anything other than hard working & polite.

Brad & Dora in the bar. Well, what can you say? Brad was full of helpful advice about the resort & island, always pleased to help & go well above & beyond what was required. Helped ensure everyone was at ease & "on holiday" which is what it is all about. Memento, take notice of what people say on here, he is an asset.

Dora the glamourous assistant to Brad, alternating shifts with each other. Super Greek lady from Acharavi was really professional & great fun too, that was what made them well suited together as a bar team, their characters suited each other & made it work so much better as a team.

Again Memento, please take note, Dora is a real asset to you too.

Contact me on the "ask a question" link guys, it would be great to hear from you ;-)

Brits were the minority in the hotel as far as guests go, many came from Romania & it was easy to see the difference in culture, but at the end of the day we were all on holiday so you just get on with it.

No problem in recommending the Memento & would be happy to try the other resorts in the group, this place was clean, well run & had really great staff. On top of all that Kassiopi is beautiful.

Even if we read a few negative reviews before, we decided to go to this hotel, and we regret nothing. We had a great time in Kassiopi, a lovely place with a nice harbor. The Memento Kassiopi Resort is a very good hotel. We stayed in room 315, acctually, the room was a small apartament without kitchen, we had a living room with a nice fire place, the bathroom, and the bedroom. Everything was clean. The food from the restaurant was very good, despite the music, because there were 3 or 4 songs that we heard all our dinnig time :) You can also enjoy a lot of drinks from the hotel`s bar (very friendly barmans).
The hotel has a tenis court (our room was located under the tenis court, but it was very nice), you can also play table tenis, darts, and also a playground for kids.
We went to 5 different beaches from the hotel, the closest was a 5 minute walk beach, a wild beach with stones, but very nice. You can also go to other beaches like Avlaki, Kalamaki and a very nice one near the harbor.
So if you choose Kassiopi your holiday destination, Memento Resort it's a nice place where you can stay !

the stay was very pleasant and weather in the mid 20c.
I would recommend a car to get around, and do some research on where to visit.
The staff were very helpfull Brad at the bar would allways help with any questions.
The food was good with plenty selection my wife enjoyed the salad bar.

This hotel has now changed to Michaelangelo Resort in Kassiopi. We had read the reviews and was very worried before we stayed here. Our room 401 was absolutely prestine and towels were changed daily. Bedding was also changed twice within the week. Our room was very roomy and modern and had everything we needed and was up to standard for a 3 star although when we booked last year it was classed as a 4. Pool areas were lovely and plenty of sunbeds. The only gripe I had was pool area needed sweeping daily and empty plant pots were full of stale water from when it rains and rubbish. The bar all inclusive was adequate and the food was lovely. We had read terrible reviews regarding the food and we could not fault it and I am very fussy. The choice was very good on hot food and the salads were super. There was plenty of deserts if you fancied that and fruit choice on all meal times. The people of the hotel were very pleasant. We did not see the Tui rep in resort which was disappointing but did see the Jet 2 rep who came over and asked if we was ok even though we had not booked with them. Lovely lady who asked if there was anything she could get for us. Well done Jet 2. Transfer is a little long 3 hours too many pick ups.

I'll just say that this place is a DUMP.

Rude staff
Awful food
Flies on food
Ran out of drinks
Sickness

Wouldn't go again if it were free

Also it's built on a hill so no use unless you're fit enough to get yourself around.

Stayed there for a week with my wife and two children 17 and 22 years old, in early june 2015 . We had stayed in kassiopi 9 years before and loved the pretty little harbour town. Mementos is just out of town but easily walked , there is also a nice little beach literally a few hundred yards from the hotel .The hotel rooms were spacious and modern ,with a good sized balcony, the rooms were spotless and cleaned daily . The food was good with plenty of choice even for my fussy kids, there was lots of local alcohol which was fine ,cant fault the place really enjoyed and would stay here again.

The facilities at the resort, even though near the end of season were good with clean rooms spread out in a village setting. The room had airconditioning tv and fridge. Being located at the North East of Corfu it is in a quieter and hilly location with lots of uncrowded (but stony) beaches. The swimming pools were excellent and there is a well equipped children's playground. Although tennis courts, gym and sauna were in theory available the latter were kept locked and only available to use at extra cost. The restaurant and bar staff were friendly and helpful, but getting information about the resort itself, its facilities and what was available in the general locality seemed to be done by word of mouth rather than in any organised way. The resort is well worth a stay but as it is located about 1km from the centre and port area of Kassiopi and the area is very hilly it may not be suitable if walking is a problem. The standard of food was average for an all-inclusive resort, but with a mix of Greek and Northern European dishes and at times the chef did lay on something special. Plenty of salads but as in most of Corfu, limited range of fruit. Alternatively there are good restaurants and Tavernas in Kassiopi itself.

Have recently spent two all inclusive weeks at the Memento resort at Kasiopi.
Our bed was extremely comfortable and the air conditioning made for a good nights sleep. Note that some rooms are accessed by a quite steep hill climb so I would not recommend this resort for those of reduced mobility unless you can obtain a room on the same level as the main restaurant / bar / swimming pool area. Be aware that the Wi-fi is only accessable in this area and the TV in our room had very grainy reception and the only English speaking channel was RT (Russia Today).

The best part:- The staff – in all areas they could not do enough for us. I would particularly mention Brad (the barman), Paul (in charge of the resturant), Nae and Simona (restaurant staff) and Ermioni (our maid).
As an example of attentive service, upon our arrival we found the room lighting very dim it was immediately rectified with brighter bulbs.

Overall the environment and standard of service made this a most enjoyable stay.

Sorry that this review is late but it has to be told myself and my husband stayed for a week in may it was the worst place.. we have ever stayed in the room had only one small wardrobe no drawers at all the bathroom flooded every time we used it you had to make your own bed every night before you got into it also no sheets or bathroom towels was ever changed and no toilet paper was ever left in the bathroom. So I had to raid the cleaners trolley for toilet paper and clean towels also no safety deposit box in the room as for the food I would not let a pig eat it as it was slop there was nothing on it to say what it was it looked as if they had a two year old in the kitchen doing the cooking it was definitely not a chef all the brits that was staying at the hotel used to go down the town for breakfast lunch and dinner good job the town was only about ten minuets away as we all would have starved.as for the drinks which was a/l they was all watered down even the coke.so if you are thinking of booking this hotel I would say do not do it as you will be wasting your money the only thing about the holiday that was good was the weather.
