This Hostal has both private rooms, and a communal bunk room for pilgrims on the Camino. The Faux Roman Architecture is unique, and the edge-of-town location is not ideal, but the room was quiet and clean and the breakfast the following morning was just what we needed to start our day.

Stayed for one night in a twin bed hotel room, clean, basic and functional. Dinner not great but value for money, miniscule breakfast a small cake, 3 small pieces of toast, small glass of orange and a coffee. Little customer interaction with staff, the least favourite of the places at which we stayed during our 3 week tour of Iberian...

Stayed at this Hostal for the second time, and nothing has changed. Sabrina did the check in and it was very friendly and helpful. The man that works at the reception/bar and the man that works at the restaurant are very rude and should not be working with people. The room was not cleaned properly, the shower was dirty. As...

This is a lovely three leveled hostel/hotel. There are the bunks in the Albergue section for pilgrims, an annex with rooms and then a more luxury styled annex. We stayed here and had a great time! (and although they found bed bugs - BUT they were moved from the annex to the hotel rooms, and the staff immediately sealed the...

Once again as per previous review the man at reception was rude and obviously hates his job or just dislikes people in general. He ruined our stay here. The hotel itself is very nice, clean comfortable, they just need to hire someone who likes paying customers.

Sabrina is the English speaking maitre D'hotel (originally from Romania) who is friendly courteous and obliging. Nothing is too much trouble. It helped that she loved our dog which was a Romanian rescue as it happened. They had a lovely conversation! Anyway great place; revamped, clean and lovely rooms with en suite. It is located on the edge of town...

I had actually already booked into another hostal, by the name of "Escarcha" on Regina Franca. I then met some people who told me they were staying in Domus Viatoris. I went back to my room in Escarcha (a small room, admittedly only €20), the place was dead (the bar was closed, no reception, strangely devoid of all human life...

Really excellent once inside, same for most places in Sahagun. Friendly, helpful, very short walk from town square. Sahagun is a crossing point in Spain, Viatoris makes it easy. Decent pilgrim meal, full bottle of water or wine if solo. Owner understands wine so even if table wine it's good. Ask for a glass of good wine at the bar....

The hostel itself was very nice...shame about the receptionist who was cold and even judgemental. He forgot to ask us to pay when we arrived so we paid another girl later on but the next morning when we asked him about where to get the bus in fluent Spanish, he kept repeating "pues eso no me parece normal", (that doesn't...

Hostal Domus Viatoris is located near the entrance to Sahagun on the Camino, so it's a welcome stop after a long day's walk. There is an albergue section and a hotel. My single room with private bath was perfectly clean and quiet, with a very comfortable bed. The only disadvantage is the immediate surroundings; it's just on the edge of...
