Not the hotel, the village-a bar a church, a monastery, and a couple of houses. It seems as though you are in the middle of nowhere but it is right on the Camino and an awesome stop. There's an albergue in town-in the monastery which is gigantic and under restoration. Hotel is clean, modern, and when we were there, the...

We really enjoyed our night here. Took in the evening Mass at the Cathedral across the street from La Henera. Enjoyed a wonderful meal at the affiliated Bar Marcela in town. Hosts were quiet but helpful. Not much else here in town!

We stayed in La Henera while doing the Camino. We emaile the day before to book it and they replied very swiftly. You collect your key from the local bar in the town square and are directed back to the Casa Rural where you have to find your own room. The room was clean and a good size with twin...

La Henera's pluses are:location on the Camino in San Juan -- half way between Belorado and Burgos; it is a modern, clean hotel with plenty of hot water and a very nice finishes; and the people who run it also run the town's bar and restaurant which automatically gives you a reservation after 6PM Pilgrims Mass. La Henera's negatives were...

Good location for a stopover on the Camino. Modern building with good sized room with shower room. Single beds but comfortable and clean. Not luxurious but very comfortable. Clean tiled floors. No food served but is available in the nearby bar by the same owner. Good WiFi. Not much choice locally - I am happy to be here.

Lovely and spacious room and bath in a relatively new facility. Breakfast is not included but available across the square in a cafe at about 9 a.m. Take away pastries can be purchased the night before for an early start.

This is the only hotel in this village on the Camino. The hotel is modern, clean and well kept. There aren’t any staff on the premises and you pick up your key from the bar and work out how to get to your room. There is a guest lounge with a TV and coffee vending machine. The room was comfortable...

Arriving at the very tiny village of San Juan de Ortega, it is just perfect to fine a place like this. Casa Rural, with nice twinrooms, each fitted with a bathroom, just the place to stay if you are not a hardcore pilgrim heading for the Hostal next to the church. The owners of the place also runs the only...

Other than the albergue this is the only game in town. The room was clean and basic. The walls are paper thin do you will hear your neighbors next to you and every step above you. My chief complaint is the time they offer breakfast is 9am and most pilgrims will certainly want and need to be on the trail...
