I just returned from a week in Abaco, and the experience was unparalleled. The boat we chartered was based in the Abaco Beach Resort harbor, which is beautiful and well maintained. We had to come back five days into our trip for a government mandated COVID test, which took place at the resort. Everyone was very friendly and made the experience as nice as it could be. My biggest accolade goes to the restaurant. I had the most amazing spicy chicken sandwich! Marjorie, our waitress, was like a ray of sunshine! She was absolutely a delight and a really exceptional waitress.
Am very happy. I will always suggest to my friends. The view is really excellent. Am sorry that am not took the name of some employees names who did perfect job. Surely I never go for second option to stay. This is the correct place for peaceful mind
I stopped in here for lunch before I could get on board my sailboat. I had flown in on a red eye from the west coast so needless to say I was jet lagged and needed a place to relax. I returned again on my last day, before my flight out, and hung out at the restaurant and on the beach.
We visited this resort in February. We had to find a hotel at the last minute due to boat problems. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. The grounds were very pretty with a calm swimable beach. The restaurant was a little pricey but that is the Abacos! We had a direct water view from our room. There were restaurants near by that were in walking distance.
What a run down property. Nothing has been done to up date or maintain this property in years. I wouldn't pay $70 a night for it let alone over $300. My husband took a shower last night before going out for dinner. It's now after 9 am and the shower has not yet drained. The staff at the pool bar could not care less that you walked up for a drink. It took a half hour to get our first drink. I know we are on island time but dang, on top of it the drink was so dang weak it was ridiculous. And it wasn't just the first drink but the second as well. My feet are black from the slick greasy room floor (obviously sunscreen). Seriously the most expensive place on the island is a dump.
