Rosetta House is my first B&B experience when I visited Auckland this year in May. Filled with both apprehension and excitement, upon my arrival at Rosetta House and having met Lorraine and Michael, I was glad that I have made the right choice. My compliments to your wonderful hospitality, the beautiful house with well-tamed pets(Jessie & Barney), splendid breakfast &... More

I first came to Raumati as a small boy nearly 60 summers ago, and then it was place far from Wellington and quite an adventure just to get there. Few houses dotted the landscape, which was mainly sand dunes dressed in cutty grass, it was a place of wonder. Days were filled with swimming, horseback riding, sliding down banks on... More

Rosetta Road Bed and Breakfast. A wonderful place to stay. Super, friendly hosts, awesome location - very close to the beautiful beach, just a short stroll to many restaurants. Very clean, comfortable rooms, and superb breakfasts. We are lucky to have found a B&B to return to each time we travel through Paraparaumu and Wellington.

Having renovated and operated an upmarket B&B in Nelson NZ (The Cathedral Inn) and known Michael and Lorraine for some years, I was happy to help with advice when they were setting up their own enterprise. I have since stayed with them a few times and recognise that they have the right attitudes towards making travellers fell welcome and comfortable.... More

Staying at Rosetta House is a unique experience. The Hosts, Michael & Lorraine are keenly interested in their guests. They encourage guests to share their backgrounds and experiences if appropriate, but are sensitive enough to leave people who want 'space' and rest to do just that. I found the added bonus of having a dog available, (who lives outside), to... More

I spent a lovely two days at Rosetta House in Raumati, New Zealand. The Sherlocks home and Bed and Breakfast accomodations were pleasant, very comfortable and the food was excellent. They are located just a very short walk from the beach, and from a small group of interesting local shops and places to eat. Raumati is easy to reach by... More

We stayed with Michael and Lorraine for a week and got to know them very well. We found them to be excellent hosts and by weeks end we were friends. The accommodation was extremely comfortable and well above average. The excellent breakfasts were made all the more enjoyable by interesting and entertaining conversation. It was obvious Michael and Lorraine enjoyed... More

We have stayed with Michael and Lorraine Sherlock on two occasions and had a very enjoyable stay. They made us feel very welcome, and looked after us. They have a very nice home situated close to the ocean. We thoroughly enjoyed our visits and would love to stay again.

We stayed originally because of convenience, but went back twice because it was so nice there. Mike and Lorraine love their house and garden(and dog) and really enjoy their way of life, a big part of which is having people to stay, as guests are treated like friends rather than guests and you are looked after as you would look...
