The Iyara was an excellent stay especially knowing Chaweng´s other stays and the loudness some ot the areas are facing with all those bars etc. The Iyara has seemingly dozens of people taking care of cleaning the whole area, not all of the buildings new or in perfect shape but for a Thai hotel which is not new it is...

The hotel is nice, staff if not perfect. The pool is small and not crystal... The cabana is not maintained. Would grade as 3 star. The cabana is looking over the beach and not on beach as promised. The beach is very shallow and unclear with rocks...

It has a excellent location just before the noisy bit of Chaweng...The Resort has a tired look and the rooms need major over haul. The rooms are very clean though with comfy beds...Its a bit expensive for what you get...Housekeeping staff is lovely but some of the restaurant staff do need a shake up....Overall it was a pleasant stay....

I can't recommend this hotel enough and have no faults at all. The rooms were fantastic and spacious, breakfast choice was unlimited and food was delicious, the pools were great and child friendly. The location is just minutes walk from shops, restaurants etc. The only downside was the beach was shallow and rocky so you couldn't swin there but very...

I don't know who to blame, the people who stayed at the hotel and wrote over zealous reviews or the people who stayed and did not write the truth. I guess if you are a first time traveler to the island or Thailand and you have been holidaying in Europe. I guess you don't know better.Let me explain in Thailand,...

I should have left when I checked in. This was the most expensive hotel room I've ever booked and worst experience in a hotel. I stayed here in July 2013 with my parents and my girlfriend for a family wedding. The pictures and descriptions looked very nice but they were all fluff. If we hadn't already paid half of the...

2nd week of our stay was here. Great location, smaller than some of the hotels around and thus a litte quieter. Rooms were better than average, bed was old and hard, AC worked a charm which was key. We had some other members of the family staying here as well and the rooms varied depending on what block you were...

After arriving in Koh Samui for a two-week stay, we realised that our itinerary inexplicably excluded time in Chaweng. We made a late change to our plans and were able to secure a last-minute booking at Iyara for a superior room for four days. When we arrived, the superior rooms were all full and we were immediately and apologetically upgraded...

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The food was good, ok prices, Breakfast was a bit expencive. the hotel is 10 minutes walk from...

Stayed here back in August 2012. Had a fantastic bungalow and the staff were amazing. They made an effort with everything, from making conversation to going out of their way to help. I have the best memories of Samui and this hotel just made my holiday absolutely magical. The hotel as people have commented is in the north of chaweng...
