We stayed at Poppies Samui for approximately $300USD a night. This was the most expensive hotel we stayed in Thailand, even luxury resorts in Bangkok and Samui. We chose it because Fodor's Thailand recommended it. Unfortunately we did not love it like the other reviewers. Cottage: I can see how people are appealed to the cottages. There is no one...

My husband and I travelled to Thailand in June. We arrived into Bangkok noisy streets . Stayed for two very interesting nights . And then took a 40 minute flight to Ko Samui. As soon as you arrive you realise this is a different world to Bangkok. The area where Poppies is located is quite busy , right on the...

Stayed for 2 weeks from the 7th Jan 14. Hotel is in busier area than we stayed on previous occasion. However, this was not an issue as you felt like you were in a different world where you entered Poppies. We were made to feel so welcome from the minute we arrived and this continued throughout our entire stay. The...

I stayed at Poppies with my family for New Year. The hotel is very nice, the rooms comfortable and clean and the food quality excellent. The maintenance staff at the pool and beach service is friendly and professional. The beach is very nice. At low tide, our girls have gone swimming with peace and security. Unfortunately the hotel does not...

We have just returned from a second trip to Poppies Hotel in Koh Samui. The cottage (106) was as beautiful as ever with all the usual attention to detail. We also had a bottle pf Proseco waiting in an ice bucket in our room for us as well as the usual little gift left on the bed at turn down...

My husband & I stayed a week in January in cottage 101 which is very close to the sea! It was fabulous. This was for part of our 25th Anniversary vacation & definitely was the highlight of our 3 week trip to Thailand, Laos & Hong Kong ! Everything is perfect, the staff, the rooms, (which are spotless)the nightly turn...

We stayed here quite some time ago but would love to return again at some point. Very boutique. Lovely independent villas. Highly recommend. Very pretty gardens and lovely helpful staff. The rooms were very luxurious in a Thai way.

We arrived at Poppies 11th February for 11 nights, this was not our first choice but we are so glad to be here. Everything has been perfect, the service, the cottage, the food and the staff have been fabulous. Poppies goes that little bit further than any other hotel we have stayed in and that’s quite a few. There is...

We spent six night in this Thai style boutique resort last week. Situated close to the south end of Chaweng beach, Poppies is a tropical garden with 24 Thai cottages. Sleeping quality is very good thanks to the nice bedding sheet and soft blankets. Room is very clean and staff very friendly. Breakfast is made to order and prepared and...

I was personally welcomed by understanding John Els, the manager, whom briefly expressed a very informative and simple interpretation of the resort facilities and protocol, and an update of the action in the area, even though this was my 3rd visit. He casually(daily) enquired of my needs with resort activity updates. Invites were by cards and verbally, no one was...
