One night stay in frodsham and whilst the room was clean and tidy can't help seeing it needs some money spending on it. Threadbare carpets on the steps in our room (27). A shame because the location is perfect.

We stayed overnight in this hotel due to a family event in the village. Our room was charming , the staff were calm and incredibly efficient considering the poor receptionist was responsible for three areas at once! The room was spotless and quirky ! But with all that you could wish for i.e. Flat screen tv , wi-fi etc. Breakfast...

Just back from The Old Hall had an enjoyable stay but don't think it is good value as there are plenty of places to stay nearby at a lower price,All the staff are very polite and professional,The breakfast is great but the room was shabby and small the carpet was worn the furniture is pretty poor and the bathroom is...

I stayed at the hotel whilst on business in the area. The hotel's biggest asset is its staff who were most welcoming and efficient upon arrival and checking in, and then later serving in the bar, at breakfast the following morning and on check out. They were all friendly, helpful and quietly calm.. Amongst the best service I've encountered in...

Visited while in the area on Business, it's a perfectly nice independent hotel, room was good apart from shower (that's a common failing in hotels of this type in the U.K.) Bar food great (only used the restaurant for breakfast), very cozy - try the 'Barista' coffee stout! Breakfast had good selection of pastries, cereal as well as full English....

The hotel is extremely tired and in need of a refresh. The communal areas are untidy, with spare furniture lying around and untidy, poorly installed cabling all over the place. The fitted furniture in the bedroom and bathroom looked like it had been thrown together by an inexperienced DIY'er. The bathroom fitting were cheap and poorly fitted and the shower...

We were looking for accommodation near my aging parents' bungalow, so that my family of five could spend time with them over Christmas. The Old Hall Hotel was just what we needed. Our rooms were at the back of the newer part of the hotel and were perfectly acceptable. One of the rooms booked, a twin room, was upgraded into...

We decided at short notice to go for a Sunday afternoon tea. Booked the Old Hall off a generic 'afternoon tea' website - nice and easy to book and reasonably priced in comparison to others. Frodsham village is quite a quaint little place, with thatched roof buildings and a good selection of pubs/restaurants and shops. We arrived to a place...

Not offered a alternative.shower didn't work as hot and was a big step to get Into the shower not suitable for my disabled husband. No apologies from the man behind the desk. Totally disgusted with the...

The standard of service at The Old Hall hotel is always top notch, and tonight was no exception. The food was of an excellent standard, the festive decorations were subtle and tastefully done, the public rooms were cosy and inviting. You really can't go wrong with this gem of a place.
