We recently stayed at the Meridian for 4 nights in a lovely 1 bedroom apartment, in which we were very comfortable. Despite the strong winds the whole time we were there, we had a relaxing time and enjoyed our stay. The main disappointment was that we had no internet access at all, although they advertise wifi being available, however we... More

What a find! We've travelled up and down the NSW coast for years but never ventured into the interesting small town of Old Bar. This resort hotel is certainly a class above the highway hotels in and around Taree. We stayed in an ocean view room and enjoyed having a late afternoon drink on our balcony and going to sleep... Although I live nearby, it was wonderful to spend 2 nights at the resort literally right on the beach. The pool and spa were a big hit and apartments wonderfully cleaned and beautifully presented. We even saw a lovely wedding take place. It was great to see whales go past and dolphins within meters. My husband even did some fishing.... More

Stay here a few times a year for work. Staff are always friendly, everything is clean and my updated apartment was really nice. View of the beach with dolphins surfing the waves at my front door was a bonus.

The accommodation was lovely, listening to waves break on the beach, clean everything that you could ask for was available. Restaurants in the area just added to the treat. Will definitely be back for a longer visit next time.

Our family of 4 people stayed at a 3 bedroom oceanview apartment on the first floor for 3 nights. The place was clean and fully refurbished; the balcony was so close to the beach that it was a stone's throw away. We saw dolphins surfing every morning at sunrise and even whales far away at 9.30am. The local Thai restaurant... More

We spent 2 nights in this rather pricey ($250/nt) and dated (early 1990's?) "resort". The big plus is the ocean view from the more expensive apartments. However, by current standards there are several flaws: 1) Our no. 11 unit was quite dark. 2) The bed mattress was hard and uncomfortable 3) Sound from the TV was muffled/hollow due to tinny... More

We stayed at the 2 bedroom courtyard apartment for 2 nights, The place was quiet, clean and well maintained. The heated pool was great for kids to spend some time in the afternoon. Pool towels were available from the reception and free wi-fi was an added bonus. Easy access to the beach. Overall, a very pleasant place to stay.

My husband and I had a very relaxing three night stay at this resort, and will certainly return. Our accommodation was an upper floor ocean view apartment, and I would say that the view is just divine! Each morning we sat eating breakfast on our balcony watching pods of dolphins and tumbling waves just metres away. We enjoyed daily walks... More

A long way out of town & a very long walk to clubs, pubs, restaurants, Shops. Extremely quiet spot for a rest up & some interesting drives back up into the mountains. The beach is pebbly & only patrolled at weekends, but there was plenty of whale activity about 1-2 kms out. Units are quite modern & comfortable, but service is... More
